It works perfectly

The device itself is excellent with 2 LAN ports, wifi, rs232 and rs485. Wallwart included in box for bench testing and screw terminals to connect power from an industrial psu.But buyer beware, even if it has reasonably good documentation, it has a lot of possibilities and confusing setting. And perhaps the most challenging part is how to set up the 3 network interfaces it has built in. (LAN1/LAN2/WLAN) You need to know your stuff regarding ports, netmasks and multiple network interfaces.Great value, very flexible with it's network interfaces, but complicated setup and documentation.

I wanted to use this to commutate with a serial port using xmodem commutation. I thought the wireless would be a bonus because I would love to utilize this function. I tried serveral times to make this work at different baud rates. I was able to establish wireless communications between my laptop and the device. I just don't see the support for this product that it might need. It has potential but if it is not super user friendly, you will need to provide assistance. I am more than willing to update this review if I get it working.

I tried for hours to get it to accept a TCP connection following the examples in the manual USR-W630-User-Manual-V1.0.3.pdf. The manual in part shows screenshots with Chinese characters but one can still figure out what is meant from context. The reason I bought this product is to use it as a converter between Modbus RTU and Modbus TCP. I could not even get it to work as a straight-forward Ethernet to serial converter. There are no examples or videos to be found on the internet from other users - so adoption of this product is not wide spread. I contacted the seller with my questions but have not received a response.

RS232, RS485, 2x Ethernet und Wifi.... Für meinen Zweck das perfekte Gerät.Einen Wunsch hätte ich noch an den Hersteller.Macht ein USR-W640 was noch zusätzlich eine USB Schnittstelle hat.netten Gruß und Danke
