I ordered 3 or 4 of these eyeliners in the color midnight master. I've been using this eyeliner for about a year now. It's easy to apply and is forgiving if you make a mistake. I only have to apply it once a day and it doesn't smudge or drift with normal wear. If I wear it while I work out, I find I have to clean it up a little.The only issue is if you use the "tight-line" technique where you line the underside of your eyelids...I've experienced that it will tend to come off and smear on to your contact lenses (if you're a contact lens wearer). When this happens it is unsightly and makes it difficult to see. So I use a gel liner for that. Other than that, I find that it is an excellent, more affordable alternative to the higher end, brand name eyeliners out there. I especially like it because it is very creamy and has a richer darker hue of black. In addition, this creamy formula does not dry out and flake like some gel eyeliners do. I apply it where I want it and then use an angled eyeliner brush to shape and "wing" it out. I find I have greater control with this pencil than a gel eyeliner applied with an angled brush.. So far it has surpassed the higher end gel eyeliner that I previously used. So, if you're on the fence....don't be. I'm sure once you try it, you'll find you can't be without it.

I guess I should have expected that a $4.99 price meant there was something wrong with this product. The pencil was so hard it would not even apply unless I used so much pressure that the product actually crumbled away. I can’t return since I had to take it out of the packaging to find out it was completely unusable. Do not recommend.

I was very disheartened when I was unable to locate this product at my local drugstores. Once I did a Google search and found this eyeliner on Amazon I was ecstatic! I've tried several dark gray/charcoal eyeliners and none are as good as this one. It applies easily and allows for a more clean line or to be smudged out for a smokey eye look. It has very tiny specks of shimmery silver in it, but they are not noticeable on the eye in my experience. The shimmer is more noticeable when it's smudged out. It does not break as often as other eye pencils I've used, although it can happen from time to time (and usually it's just a piece of the tip, not a huge chunk!). And best of all, it wears all day for me! I even prefer this eyeliner over some of the mid-range brands at Sephora and Ulta. I picked up 3, and will be repurchasing more when I run out!

When I received it I opened and threw packaging away. Two days later I went to use it and it was so dried up it fell out of the pencil. I put it back and tried to use it. Would not even mark eye at all so hard it hurt my eyelid. Can not return because I threw packaging away. I have threw away eyeliner that was old and dried up like that. Did not expect to order new and be that way. Wasted my money.

Much better quality than expected. It goes on smoothly and precisely with fantastic pigmentation, and there are subtle sparkles that add dimension so it's not just a flat brown. It wears really well, I actually found it a little hard to remove, which is nice unless you're prone to making mistakes. So why only 3/5 stars? Unfortunately, this also irritates my eyes. I've worn a lot of eye products, and only one has caused significant irritation before (a Hard Candy eyeshadow single), but my eyes start to feel irritated immediately after applying this, not severely but enough to be noticeable and annoying. Even after removing, the irritation takes a while to go away. It's a shame, because this would be perfect and maybe HG if not for that. I think this is worth trying out for $4, but I'm probably not going to use it anymore.

I love this stuff. I admit that I'm not an eye-liner guru. I love how easy it is to apply this product. It's a cream pencil. You simple turn the top and it comes out, kind of like a mechanical pencil. It's really convenient to not have to sharpen it. It glides really smoothly too and applies pretty evenly. I love the color- very, perfectly black.It's not exactly waterproof. I do have to touch up every now and again to keep it looking pretty. All-in-all this is the best eye-liner I've ever used.

I really didn't like this eyeliner. It didn't stay on my waterline at all and it was more grey than black. When I got home from being out for only a few hours it had all slid to the corner of my eyes by my tear duct and I looked terrible. The product is wiggly in the applicator and my twisty thing didn't work. I will never purchase this product ever again.

I love that it is smooth and I don't have to tug (much) at my eye to get it to go on nicely. It does dry out after a while, so just buy a new one. I had one for 8+months and was getting crusty, then bought a new one on Amazon and was reminded of how nice it is when it's new. The lid broke and doesn't snap on right. Happened with my first one too. Cheap plastic. Others have had problems with it not screwing up properly, but I haven't. When it's brand new you have to turn it several times before it starts raising. Love it!

Not good quality at all. Waste of money

This retractable eyeliner doesn't need sharpening (just twist), so it is very convenient and quick to apply. The colour is so rich and intense, so I don't need to apply alot of it to make a dramatic effect. It is smudgeable a couple minutes after applying, if a smoky eye look is desired. After a couple minutes, it sets in and truly stays on for the whole day, even until the evening, especially if applied on the top lid. I'm not sure of the staying power if it is used on the waterline inside the bottom eyelid, or if you have watery eyes, or oily skin though. But for the price, it is quite exceptional. I would definitely buy this eyeliner again.
