Oregon 22-495 Magnum Gatorline Square Trimmer Line .095-Inch by 226-Foot Weed Wacker String,Gray

Used it today in my stihl weed eater.. It was great! It used a fraction of line as compared to traditional stihl line and chomped through everything. Even the negative reviews here pretty much say "it worked too good" so I gave it 1 star..Yes it will ruin your vinyl siding and hurt young tree trunks.. This product is not meant to trim grass next to siding and delicate work.. I have about 30 metal raised garden beds and a few acres with tough woody brush I need to keep clear.If you need delicate, buy delicate. If you need strong line to rip into rocky hills and overgrown vegetation, use this.

Nothing much else to say, except you buy this and you'll have string left over to leave your kids when you die.

There are so many reviews here already I doubt anybody will read this. This design for string is very durable and cuts through thicker stuff really well, especially if you don’t go full throttle where you don’t need to. My sprocket spool, which I suspect is used by many trimmers, expects dual winding of 8’ of line. This line is bulky. I have found that the my line jammed because the dual windings of 8’ of line is just too much. Step it back to like 7.25 feet of line and it won’t jam in the spool such that it won’t advance. Even with the reduced spool lengths, this will last much longer than many other strings. I hate changing spools. This stuff prevents that pain... you just gotta spool a bit less... it’s so good you won’t care. Really good performance out of a .095” line.

Well, I had no idea how wonderful and perfect weed eater string could be. This string DOES NOT WELD! It's tough like stainless steel braided lock wire too. It makes the junk they sell at the orange home centers glaringly horrendous, I'm angry at all the time I wasted untangling it. This Magnum Gatorline string is so good I'm gonna have to question any store for not carrying it.Now, this string is going to put you and your weed eater to the test. Think about how much of a load you put on your trimmer engine or motor and for how long. Is there a duty cycle that this string's endurance will challenge? This string will cut so long without needing a bump or detangle session that you have to make sure you don't overload or over heat your weed eaters prime mover or its operator- that's you. You could be using your weed eater for hours on end with this Gatorline. It doesn't wear very much so remember to take breaks and divide up the time spent using anyone type of power tool if possible.This string really will make your string trimmer work like you want it to, I definitely recommend it. Their claims are true, doesn't tangle, doesn't weld, doesn't wear much either. Zero compromise.

I bought a 3-lb. spool of trimmer line many years ago, and eventually wore out one gas-powered trimmer, and am a number of years into my current one. When I exhausted that spool of line, I chose this Oregon Magnum Gatorline based on the positive reviews. I can say that a spool of line on my Husqvarna 123L now lasts a whole lot longer than it used to, and I do a lot of edging along curbing and bricks. This spool of line may not only outlast this trimmer and the next, it just might outlast ME! :-)

Just got done using this for the first time and it was a relief not having to respool new line multiple times while working. This lasted a long time. I also used it on an area of grass and brush that was waist high with no problem. Previously I had used a brush cutter on this area but I didn't need to this year. This did the trick. You'd still need the brush cutter for things over a quarter inch thick, but for the dense,tall, grass this went through it easily. My trimmer was able to cut the old line off as I worked but I could see how some would struggle. My pocket knife barely worked to cut it when I was first spoiling it.

I've had a series of unfortunate events happen to me lately, from nights at hospitals to earth shaken days. Unfortunately that meant that my one acre of land surrounding my home turned into a wild wild jungle. Texas jungle at that, vines, tall grass, the works. With my typical line that I buy I have to break it into two days, my line keeps busting over and over. Well this guy here comes and pays me a visit and in just under TWO hours, I am done completely! No hassle, no tears and only ONCE DID I FILL MY SPOOL!I freaking love this so much, everytime I come outside and see it I can't help but to think "best investment ever"10/10 can't stop braggingLove it

WEAR GOGGLES!!!This stuff rips it!!! Much improvement over the stock stuff. I am using it in a Stihl Trimmer. I had been using the stock that came with it, and then some standard line orange line. Line was tearing off at the head and required me to open the head and re-tread it...I hated that. This stuff is great and lasts for the whole lawn job without tearing off. I put off trimming because it was such a hassle dealing with the line breaks. Now I look forward to it. It feels like this it the line the tool was designed for, love it so far.WEAR GOGGLES!!!

Running on a Husqvarna 128l trimmer. Dealer sold me "The very best he had to offer" Husqvarna brand .080 round line.....what a disaster!. To trim my rocky yard it look me about 8-10 feet of trimmer line to finish the job. The line often breaking seconds after I fixed it.I installed this square .095 Oregon line and it truly is awesome. The same job that took me 8-10 feet of line only took me about 2 feet....and it did not break once.This line is awesome

This line was recommended in a few of the trimmer videos I watched. I upgraded from a Stihl fs38 to a fs131r. Had the same problem with the orange Stihl trimmer line. It welds in the head and breaks off so you have to take the head off to feed the line out again.This line has no issues and works great. Lasts much longer and no welding. Am very satisfied.

Product as advertised. Good Price. I really like this trimmer line. I find the square shape does not get stuck (bind) inside the trimmer head. That's a big bonus when you're trimming.

Absoletely fantastic. I upgraded the stock line on my Stihl FS 90 R and noticed an immediate difference. The Oregon line is much stronger. It busts through heavier foliage and breaks off less frequently than the stock Stihl line. Highly recommended.

Bit pricey by comparison to other trimmer line. But very durable and cuts very well. Zips new alders and tangle brush just great
