Van Rosa VRIL-002 Stay Tuned Tremolo Claw

Lacks instruction but works amazing once you get it.Not a magic tuning stability fix but bending a string doesn't cause the one under it to go down in pitch. That part does work like magic.

Looks cool and high quality made liscenced Floyd feel stiff. Reinstalled in to my 7 string which already felt stiff. Now my 7 string is stable can drop tune without throwing rest of strings out of tune. Effective device.

Installed on a recent partscaster build and the guitar seems to be staying in tune even after dive bombs. I'll put another one in one of my other strats and see if I get the same results. Mounting holes are in a tad bit closer then a standard claw but it will still install with no problems.

No instructions included. Cheaply made. A dud 100%; doesn't work. Company is defunct as is their website. Does not fit a USA Fender strat. Holes do not align, by a large degree. I enlarged the spacing with a rotary tool after cursing a lot. Got the thing on there. Fraud. Has no effect whatever on holding pitch on a string while bending another. No matter how you set it. All you have to do is look at the trem block while bending any string. Moves the same as always. Do not buy. P.S. I have played guitar for 45+ years and have messed with strats countless times.

The system works but the metal is cheap

First of all, the item arrived completely disassembled. There were no installation instructions included either. I have a PRS SE Custom 24 guitar and the claw screws for this guitar are mounted more narrow than the holes in the Van Rosa claw so you'd either have to re-drill the PRS claw screw holes or file out the holes in the Van Rosa claw. It is definitely not an exact fit. If you have a Strat, I'm sure it would fit fine but not in the PRS SE guitar. I sent it back. Also, the small screw to attach the ground wire would not screw in all the way. It got stuck half way in so it was impossible to tighten it. All in all, a disappointing purchase.

It works perfect, even kept my cheap Schecter Floyd copy in tune. I can't wait to install the Gotoh unit with the trem claw.....Vai abuse ensues!!!!

I gave this a try after trying various other trem stabilisers and found this to be the most unobtrusive of them all. It's also a fraction of the price of the competition. My Hamer Chaparrel with Floyd Rose can't thank you enough.
