Pledge Fabric Sweeper for Pet Hair, 1 sweeper

After twenty years of cat hair, we added a grown Corgi to the mix and the house now looks like a pile of fur. The old tricks didn't work - the damp washcloth, the lint roller, the sole of the tennis shoe, even that hard sponge thing you buy at PetSmart and has not failed yet. This cheap little device is FANTASTIC. A few swipes and the fur sticks to it, and *stays* stuck to it.It works well on upholstery (house and car), beds and carpets. I haven't figured out quite how to use it on clothes but those can be handled in other ways and don't get the PETA-alerting levels of fur buildup.My only hesitation was that it is supposed to be disposed of once full and other reviewers warned me -- well, this thing can be emptied with a little gentle firmness and in about five seconds. You can take the long approach, and gently distort the frame until one of the tips of a roller can be gently popped free - then you can dump the whole container, and ease the tip back into its slot. Or you can clean it the five second way and again gently distort the frame, and with your fingers reach in and pull all the stored fur back out between the rollers.

I had read all the reviews on the Pledge Fabric Sweeper and admittedly was still quite skeptical about ordering one. Even when it arrived and I took it out of the package I thought I had made a mistake in ordering yet, another misrepresented product. Looking at it, you'd think there's NO WAY this thing can work in picking up the shedded hair. I have a quilt on a bed that my fur babies love to lay on and it was completely covered in their shedded fur!! Once I got started on using the Pledge Fabric Sweeper, I was shockingly AMAZED at how quickly the fur was coming off my quilt!! There is a compartment that fills with the hair, as you sweep, that needs to be emptied but I will tell anyone and everyone that this, by far, is the BEST pet hair remover I've ever come across. It removed most of the fur which allowed me to further throw it in the washer without worry that it would be clogged with the fur!! I HIGHLY recommend this product to all pet owners who need to clean off furniture and other fabrics!!!!

I have no idea about pet hair, but this thing works wonders on dust and people hair!I have fairly long hair which is constantly clogging (or even breaking) my nice vacuum. I wanted a product that I could run along the carpet to pick up the majority of my hair before using the vacuum. This product worked pretty well. Some of the hair would clump on the outside of the rollers, but you can either pull it off and throw it away, or if you keep using the product it will all be eventually incorporated inside.Obviously the major drawback to this product, if you've read any of the other reviews, is that it's not meant to be reusable. I just broke one of the little pins holding the thing on the back. When I'm using it, the downward pressure of my hand holds it all together, but then it's pretty easy to empty out afterwards. It's super annoying that Pledge didn't make this thing reusable to begin with but it's easy enough to work around.

I consider myself a pretty clean person. That saying, I am not found of pet hair anywhere in the house esp. on clothing, sofa or furniture. However, i love my Mocha so much (and even though i am allergic to cats) that i dont mind too too much of pet hair.This fabric sweeper is a joke. I totally agree with digitalman's review. The whole point of this item to to rub it across sofa, etc and while doing so the rollers on this item 1. pick up hair AND 2. shove it into the clear receptor. so keep in mind this item has those two important steps to do. This item does step one (pick up hair) fairly. It will NOT pick up all hair esp. very very fine undercoat hair. I think it's because the material on the roller gets clogged up with hair pretty easily. Now, the 2nd step is where this item fails. The item is supposedly to shove the hair in the clear receptor while using friction to rub against each other (roller touches other roller). What makes this item not work is that the rollers on this item do not turn much. i'd say it moves about 30 degrees out of 360 degree axis (think of a roller doing one complete clockwise turn = 360 degrees....well, this item only moves less than 1/4 of that!!!!) So some hair do not go into receptor. i feel this item just rubs the fine pet dander everywhere since you are rolling it all round your stuff. yuck.I think my review sounds confusing esp if you havent seen or own one of these. i think the concept behind this item is good and improvements can be done to really improve this. I think if the rollers touched each other more and rotated more than 30 degrees (say, 180), this item would work better. i wish i myself can improvise this item to do what i want but cant do so b/c of the way item is made.I myself will continue using my beloved bissell pet eraser vacuum (flawed in one way but does what its name says) which is sold here in amazon for very good price (about 4.5 or 5 star review...check it out). I bought this cause at times i dont want to make noise in the house while cleaning just one of my blankets or clothing. sigh, back to that bissell pet eraser.conclusion: DO NOT BUY, fellow clean freaks!!!!

What a great idea! A reusable hair remover! I had been using lint rollers, but had to constantly rip off the sticky bit over and over again. It got pretty boring, so the job was never done very well, I hate to admit.This cleans a wide swath of your furniture, etc., cleaning off tons of hair in just a few minutes. Once finished, pop off the clear plastic cover and peel off the accumulated pet hair and throw away!Even though some feel this is an unnecessarily expensive object, but over time, it is much cheaper than having to replace roll after roll of the lint cleaner, this is cheaper by far.I highly recommend this product. We have a large Maine Coon cat, whose lovely fur floats through the air and gets on everything! We love her dearly, but having hair all over everything is not cool!

Does not work as well as the old disposable ones. Not worth the money I paid for it. I was expecting something far more substantial for the money.

My cat has a shedding problem. Out of all of the pet hair removal products i've tried (vaccums, rollers, brushes, etc) this one works the best for removing pet hair from furniture and carpets.
