Having sciatica I suffer from a lot of pain pretty much on a daily basis where I really cannot do any of the things I love to do daily. Wearing really well made shaper shorts helps the pain tremendously and makes it easier to do things I enjoy like house cleaning, gardening, cooking, painting in my studio, building furniture, laying tile, etc., I have been wearing these Ska Studio Shaper Shorts Levantacola with Buttlifter and Thigh Slimmer for two days now after I hand washed them and hung them to dry. I cannot tell you how they have helped decrease my pain and how extremely comfortable they are. I am truly truly amazed!! They are a firm compression yet not an uncomfortable compression like many other brands that I own. I really have to say Ska Studio Shaper Shorts is the most comfortable compression out of all my shape wear, and I have a ton of it due to my sciatica.I love the way they are made with cotton on the inside making it very soft to your skin and you will not sweat in these shaper shorts like many other brands. They are surged on all seams with no lose threads. Very very professional.They look fabulous under my jeans, not bulky at all. The butt is a great lifter due to how it is made. It really does make your butt look very nice. I have never worn shape wear that has the butt cut out like this but I have to say I like t a lot. It is not uncomfortable in any way.The waste and thigh has a silicone like material that keeps the shaper in place. I had no issues with the waste rolling down or the thighs rolling up. I really love these and they have become my favorite shaper’s that I own.I am 5’2 118lbs and I ordered the small and it fit me perfectly. I normally wear an extra small so I did size up one size as the ad states to do and I believe that sizing up one size was smart as I think an extra small would have been very uncomfortable and way to tight. The thing with shaper wear is to not cut off your circulation and to not have them so tight that they are putting pressure on your internal organs as this can cause health risks. So, make sure you order a size up and if you do not want such a firm compression order two sizes up as the material these are made out of will still give you outstanding compression two sizes up. Okay.. So I was told to size up which I did, but DAMN! These are extremely tight, i could barely get them on. I highly recommend going two sizes up.Once I wiggled and shimmied and swore my way into these cute shorts (the lace is so girly and adorable) i walked around with them on in my apartment and yes, they did slim and yes, my pants slid on easier.The bottoms and top have this rubber like material it in that molds to your leg and keeps any part of it from slipping or bunching. I appreciated this aspect but it was a double edged sword as it was this material that made these so difficult to get on in the first place.The open butt section in back made me a bit self concious but under pants i didnt mind so much, felt odd but not that odd. I did not notice any perminant slimming effect from these after wearing them for a few hours every other day or so but they are nice to help my clothing fit a bit better and keep my thighs and butt slimmer under clothing. It is a nice bit of apparal that looks far nicer than most ive seen and is of good quality materials. As i have stated though SIZE UP! 2 sized just to be sure.Note - i have recieved this item in exchange for an honest review

I usually wear a large or extra large, so I ordered an extra large. Wow. I cannot even get them up over my hips! I knew they looked small when I took them out of the package, but I figured they'd just stretch. Newsflash: These do NOT stretch at all! Only the bottom of the leg area stretches, which doesn't help since I can't get them on to begin with.So, I took them to my Mom who is a size small (we're talking size 4/6) and she could get them up but only with help! They were really tight on her and very uncomfortable. They did a good job of lifting her butt and looked nice from the back, but the front isn't enough coverage for the abdomen area. All it did was push her muffin top over the top of the panty, which of course, looked 10 times worse since it was all pushed up and out...If you don't have belly or muffin top, then they'll probably fit pretty perfectly. Just make sure to get 2-3 sizes large than what you usually get. Trust me on this! At this point, I don't even think the largest size, XX-Large, will fit me. It's sad because I really wanted and needed something like this. I am giving it 3 stars because the material is nice and I do like the butt lifting aspect - works well.I received this product complimentary in exchange for my honest, unbiased review.
