Michael Schenker Group - Live in Tokyo: 30Th Anniversary Japan Tour

Absolute MUST BUY for fans of this great guitarist. The show that is presented on this DVD is a flawless set of MSG classics, with the original lineup of Simon Phillips on drums, Neil Murray on bass guitar, Gary Barden on vocals and newcomer Wayne Findlay alternating (seamlessly) between rhythm guitars & keyboards. Worth every penny!!

This is a great addition to the MSG and/or UFO fan. Lots to like here with many songs from the first two MSG releases. The camera work and audio are very good. Sometimes there are some missed opportunities where the camera angle is absent from Michael's fantastic finger work, but they are not too annoying and the video quality is excellent. Highly recommended!

Arrived in time stated and dvd was new. This is awesome and I'm glad they got this event on video. I found it on youtube one night, and watched the entire thing. It LEVELED me. I went online and bought this the very next day.

My favorite and anything he has done since late 70s to today wow MSG

First I received it very quickly and packaged well.Now on to the review - It is absolutely amazing - every song from start to finish, the quality is very well done (but i am not an expert on the production of a DVD) but it sounds and looks great on my big screen. Michael is in top form on this tour and looks very fit, Simon is amazing on drums, the quiet and subdued Neil is great on Bass, and I think the other guitar player is Wayne (Sorry i dont have it in front of me as I type this)he and Michael are very much in tune together, Gary's voice lends very well to Michael's playing and he sounds better than 30 years ago. its like the band had fairy dust sprinkled on them before they got on stage as they play as a very tight machine on every song. The crowd you can tell loves them and is on their feet through the video. Michael's solo on Rock Bottom is the best I have ever heard and I have Strangers in the Night, if you didnt know it was 30 years later you would think it was 1979, if you are a MSG/Schenker fan you have to get this as well as the CD. You will truly value it for your collection. Each member of the band also speaks about the tour and band, and their career, so it is reallt interesting to hear from them all. It truly is wonderful to see Michael looking so happy and so fit and playing so beautiful:) LOVE IT!!! MS fans lets all support Michael's efforts to bring us his passion in top form - if you love Michael you gotta get it :)

This couldn't be any better. The sound quality is LOUD and awesome, unlike most concert dvd's that even when the sound quaity is good, they don't seem loud enough. I had to actually turn this down from the norm because it was cranking. Not complaining though... I'll put this a nut-shell! This concert is perfect. The best concert dvd I have and have ever heard. Wish I could give it 10 stars. Michael has never been better and the band is awesome. And Gary Barden still sounds like he 25. Simon Phillips is amazing, and Neil Murray and Wayne Findlay are a perfect rythem team. I hope this line up stays together for a loooong time. It's a great surprise to get a concert dvd that really is awesome through and through. Can't wait to see them when they come around here. Just got word that I won 2 tickets. YEAH!

I was very pleased when this arrived, the picture quality was excellent on my new TV and the sound, I really enoyed this concert would have liked to have been there, it may not be everybodies cup of tea but it certainly was mine. If you are thinking shall I, go for it I think you will be suprised.

Michael is in form and that's all that realy counts isn't it?Besides that the camera and lighting are good, with closeups where you want them and not too much nervous switching to this camera or that. It gives you sort of the impression of being there.Barden's performance is OK.
