Not sharp!
I had this exact model a few years ago and was excited to be able to purchase it again when it became available. I knew going in that the design flaw of the blade holder meant that I would need to keep it somewhere else other than my key chain. After a while the blade holder loosens up and the hook will fall right out, which is what happened to my first one. My first one was extremely sharp and a fantastic tool for on the go athletic training needs like cutting through tape, shoe laces, shoulder pad laces, jerseys and even shoes. Unfortunately, this one is a dud. I was really excited to use it when I got it, but it couldn’t cut through a simple tape job. I basically wasted my money. I should’ve bought a Benchmade hook knife.

Dull, Rusty gerber knockoff
Showed up already rusty. Smelled like bleach and is very dull. Wont cut anything. Also a shamless gerber knockoff.

Safety without noticing.
Would hope it works and easy to keep on car or on ring.

Part of my Everyday Carry for Pet Collar/Leash Emergencies.
I bought mine about 5 years ago. At that time they were sold under the Fiskars name. Same part number and Gerber name etched on them. It has held up well to occasional use and daily carry. I just clean out the pocket lent from the sheath and hone the aluminum knife a couple times each year.I was prompted to purchase this product after a friend's dog almost died. Two of their dogs were playing and one got the other's collar caught in it's mouth. The dogs became frantic which only tightened the collar, threatening to shatter the one's jaw while strangling the other. They were able to find a pair of scissors and cut the collar and both dogs recovered.I did some research and decided I wanted a hook knife to cut collars with reduce risk of slicing the skin on a dog's neck. I also wanted something small so I could carry it every day. It was an added bonus that these knife are relatively inexpensive. The knife easily fits in my jean's watch pocket. I've tested it on multiple types of collars and it easily cut all of them. After seeing several videos of dogs getting separated from their handlers by elevator doors, I also tested this on leather, nylon, and flexi leashes. Only issue was twisted leather leashes that were too think to fit in the hook.I pray I never need to use this knife in an emergency. It gives me peace of mind knowing it's always with me.

Nice, simple piece of kit
Works well to cut zipties. Given some countries I work in, I've found this easy to attach to the waistband at the small of my back - it was easy to manage, and I've tested it to my satisfaction

Not sure this is a real thing...
I don't think Gerber actually makes these and it doesn't click into the sheath properly. Its a decent concept but needs work and the branding seems dodgy...
