I have this mixed with wheat grass. Both are beautiful together. My cat ignores it, though. Planted these in a square cake tin, put it in the window, and it's getting tall! I wish my lawn looked this good. I've nibbled a few stalks and it's quite tasty. I guess if i were to suddenly enjoy smoothies, these sprouts would be a good addition. I might try mincing them into a salad, too. They have a lot of flavor i wasn't expecting. Just can't get the cat excited about them though... she loves the spider plants. Always with the spider plants. Sheesh. Some people's kids...

Of 1500 seeds tested for 9 days, Handy Pantry Organic Barley seed Lot #195944 only germinated at 31.59%.For someone wanting barley sprouts this is disappointing. No good if you want sprouts, they might have some other purpose, but the wet seeds that did not sprout stunk terribly so they went into the compost bin.

Those barely seeds are so good, I broil them and store the water in refrigerator to drink later. Very healthy drink .

They sprout pretty easily, but I had no idea raw juiced barely grass tasted so bad. I am no wimp. I juice a lot of stuff. Put ginger, llemon or something with it. It is so good for you.

Hmmm many of my seeds are not sprouting. Since i have been sprouting them by themselves i realized that. I am so sad. What am i doing wrong? I soak them for 12 hours. Then put them in my sprouting tray and water 2x a day.
