Taxi Wallet - Smooth Leather, Black – A Simple, Compact, Front Pocket, Folding Wallet, that holds Cards, Coins, Bills, ID – for Men & Women

I'm still giving this 5 stars because it is a very well made wallet and I ordered it after reading that more than one or two cards (licenses, credit) wouldn't work. I've previously used the Deep Pocket line of wallets. If you aren't familiar with them they are designed to go in the front pocket and have a series of slots for license and credit cards, with a built in money clip that fastens over the cards in their slots. I've always been happy with the Deep Pocket wallets but was looking for a similar sized front pocket wallet that fully enclosed al the contents ... the Deep Pockets leave everything secure, but exposed if that makes any sense.Anyway, the taxi wallet is much thicker (wasn't expecting that) and this makes it a much larger lump in your front pocket without anything even being in it. My biggest problem is that at the very most you're going to be able to put in your driving license and maybe one credit card. The zippered pouch can hold a few coins, you can carry a decent amount of bills in the bill slots, but I needed room for a few more cards ... Health Insurance card a couple of others I always have in my wallet.I did note the reviews that mentioned how few cards you could actually carry in it but I ordered anyway thinking surely I'd find a way to make the total 5 or so cards I like to carry fit. My bad for thinking I'd be more clever than they were. Those people weren't exaggerating folks. If you want to carry more than one or two cards this wallet isn't for you. If it's dimensions were just a millimeter or two larger I could have had the wallet I needed. Now if you just carry your drivers license and maybe one other card that size, a little bit of coinage and of course currency, you'll really like this wallet. If you need a little more and want a true front pocket wallet check out the Deep Pocket line.

I have been using one of these wallets for about 25 years. This is my second. They are great for travel as they fit in your front pocket, making theft less likely, especially if you are wearing jeans. They are well made, and it is easy to organize and access cards or cash. There are two compartments for paper money so you can separate currencies, if you choose. If you are looking for a travel wallet, I highly recommend this one. And, while I initially purchased it for travel, it is now the only wallet I carry.

My wallet arrived in a it arrived in a timely manner, as I was in no hurry to get.its a good size for the front pocketI had one before and loved it.But..... I also bought another wallet a Bellroy and it was so much better and thinner than the Taxi wallet that I returned the Taxi one.It was Thicket than the Bellroy right off the bat.I know that the Taxi wallet would compress with time. but i was unwilling to wait.I returned it.I like the front pocket wallet and will buy one maybe in the summer, maybe

I own a older Taxi wallet which after (10?) years of daily service is beginning to show signs of wearing out IE the change clasp metal has worn on the button tab (male) so I have to rotate female part of the clasp to get it to close securely and upon close examination some leather edge areas appear to be splitting. Nothing that threatens its integrity yet. The Taxi wallet isn't always easy to find for sale online in this reasonable price range. I can't imagine using a different type of wallet so I went ahead and ordered it when it became available again on Amazon. I can't judge the durability until I start using it; but the sewing and design seem to be of the exact same nature so the quality seems to be the same. I read some people remarked the leather was not as soft as before and frankly I can't recall how soft my original wallet was when I first bought it. However, it is normal for leather to soften with daily use; so I'm not put off that this new one seems a bit more ridged than my old one. Once I eventually start using the new one and have broken it in, I'll post an update... but I think the old one still has a lot of life left in it! I don't regret buying the new one though at this point.

I have had other Taxi wallets in the past, but this one is by far the best. The leather is thick, and stiff. I can tell that it will adapt well to being opened and closed and kept in a pocket. Over time, it will likely soften up, but not become flimsy. The snap is solid and the stitching is close and tight. I really like this product.

I bought my first Taxi Wallet over a decade ago, possibly closer to two. It has served me very well. I keep my club cards that I pull out often in the open pocket; credit cards, IDs, and medical ID cards in the pocket with the flap; and bills & receipts in the dual money pocket area. of the wallet. The one thing I've noticed is that the leather used in the current line of wallets is a bit stiffer than my old Taxi Wallet, which seems to have been made with a softer glove leather. I am assuming that this new wallet will eventually break in and become just as soft and flexibleas my previous wallet. If it's just as durable as my old wallet, I'll be happy.

This is the second Taxi wallet I have owned. I had the other for years and it finally wore out so I bought a new one. Great wallet. I like the two compartments for bills, the coin pocket that can be used for this or other cards. There is also the space between the bill holder and coin pocket tha I use for frequently used cards, like DL and debit card. I highly recommend this. My sister bought one after seeing my first one.

At first I had a negative attitude about tbis wallet but as I'm using it I'm beginning to love it. Stiff but noticing it is softening up the more I handle it. I give this 5 stars.
