Honest, sincere and inspiring!
As a Yogananda student for 25 years, I have an insatiable thirst for anything written by Master and his devotees. I found this book and Mary's story authentic, touching and full of wisdom born of experience and devotion to the universal teachings of Paramahansa Yogananda. I've read all about Master. I appreciate the story of those who bring those timeless teachings into light of day in our modern world, and we should see more of it. The stories of those who devoted their lives to Master are reflections of him, and add depth and dimension to the body of truth he devoted his life to. Anyone desiring to know more about this path, or might be in need of more inspiration to keep going on it, will treasure this book. It is well written and difficult to put down; especially if you love Master! Thank you Mary and blessings!

Fine woman, ordinary book
I just finished reading the book. Mrs Stockton seems to be a very fine woman, generous heart and made a great effort in writing this book. I can sense her wanting to share her experiences with Yogananda. I did not find much of a story; half of the book is about herself in relation with Yogananda's teachings, applied in her life. I respect her process. However, I was anticipating much more of Yogananda himself, how HE was in these early years in L.A....not enought for me though.Blessed be, Mary for your efforts and for your motivation.

Wonderful book
This was one of the most beautiful and inspiring books I have read..... it was exactly what I needed to see and read at this time! Master keeps talking to us if we would only listen. Jai Guru 🙏💕

lovely personal stories of experiences with Yogananda and his teaching
Unfortunately, chapter 8 in the Kindle version is a jumbled mess. I know this can happen when the book to transferred to Kindle, but was a shame that it was unreadable.

I'm so glad that she decided to take her friends' advice and write her book. It's wonderful. I'm going to give some out as gifts.
