One thing I can offer as advise. When using the Allen wrench to bring the screw closer to the baluster you will find that when it makes contact with the baluster that the angle of the shoe is now less than your desired angle. I recommend padding the near side of the baluster that will make contact with the screw so that the angle stays true to 45 or whatever angle you desire. Effectively you would not want to make that screw move too far as it will alter the final angle when it grips. These are excellent Absolutely excellent. Great look and finish.
