Not for Shady areas
Bought a shady mix for a shady area. The very first step is to pick a location that gets 6 or more hours of DIRECT SUNLIGHT.

Good Quality, Sprouts are coming up soon after planting
I came to this product to see if anyone had posted how these looked in their yard. I had planted these in a shady area a couple of weeks ago & the sprouts are starting to come up (hence the 4 stars - I can't rate yet on the flower composition), but I am really excited to see them and will try and remember to update this review with a photo when they do.I wanted to say that the bag is FULL of seeds and they are in the blue green paper bits. A thin layer of the paper is all an area needs. It easy to tell where they were planted because of the color and I lightly covered them with mulch after seeding the area to protect them. I thought the moisture sealed bag was a good call and overall this product was packaged and worked well. I saw a lot of negative reviews, but I have a really shady area and while the sprouts are coming up slower in the shade, they are coming up.

I don't know what to say I think that if it was cheaper I'd feel better
I hit this with lowest star because really I had a super shady spot and I was doing everything right and these seeds took ages for them to germinate so while it might be my green thumb or my location or my timing I just want to point you to the fact that seeds can be a very difficult market and you're going to get what you pay for so don't overpay and learn to grow correctly with any seed you're given.Well back again here, 1 yr later... I would be surprised if any of these really took. Changing this to 1 star.I got more out of burpee brand seeds from home depot planted around the same time

Not all seeds!
Buyer beware. This 2lb package is only 6% seeds! The rest is mulch β inert matter.β This was not at all clear on the description on Amazon but there is a sticker on the bag that says so. Seller should be more clear about this!

Waste of money
Sowed the seeds as directed and not a single seed has germinated after six weeks. I'm in California and there is no reason for this. Very disappointed. Waste of money since I can't return seeds already in the ground.

Don't Buy These
I bought these seeds almost 3 months ago. I followed the directions, and I didn't even get one flower. Not even one flower grew where I planted these seeds.

No Grow
A lot of filler and little or no growth. I had more success letting the violets take over.
