OXO Good Grips Slim Nut & Seafood Cracker,Silver

I am not using this a nutcracker but as a paint opener. I am a fine artist and opening up oil paint tubes can be a painful experience. Many times to paint dries in the lid and makes it extremely difficult to open. After filling my palette which can be up to 60 colors, my hand gets torn up from opening them. Many tub lids are poorly designed and are either too small to grasp or have uncomfortable ridges that rip the skin off my hand . After a day I the studio of opening up tubes, mediums, and turp containers, I feel extremely uncomfortable and frustrated, especially after opening up galkyds. I have even had to put tubes in boiling water to expand the plastic and pry the lids off. I was concerned that the nutcracker would not be able to open up some small lids, but it opens all of my lids just fine. The handle is extremely comfortable and an amazing alternative to the horrible ridges on most tubes that leave my hand so torn up. I love how heavy duty this is and it looks great in my studio. Hopefully it will last me forever but if it doesn't I will just buy another. The price is extremely inexpensive for what I am using it for and I think they should market it for artists. I wish I bought this years ago, it would have saved me a lot of time and heartache. I know it's a non traditional use for a nutcracker but it definitely changed my life.

I was attempting to crack open STONE CRAB CLAW using a hammer and towel needless to say a fight to the finish! So I decided to find something to ease this task well these are fabulous and come with Seafood forks that are great getting the meat from the tricky claw! No more fighting for the food! Highly recommend! Thank you

I won't use anything else when serving whole lobsters. They are heavy duty and work great!

I've had this product for several years and it still looks brand new after cracking a lot of nuts and shellfish.

We’ve only used this for walnuts, but so far has worked great. The design is modern and well made. It’s a nice step up from the old school nut cracker designs.

I purchased this for my 80 year old mother. I needed something sturdy, not heavy, and would do the work with requiring a great deal of strength. Consumer reports ranked them highest in ease of cracking and non slip but heavier. We did not find the weight to be an issue. I think it helps with the ease of cracking.

I like it with some negatives.This thing is big and heavy. The space where crab is supposed to go into is too large, so that for small legs, it's ineffective. I end up using the raised area for those small diameter legs. When I do so, the handle spreads too wide for a comfortable grip. I think these could be made little smaller and be more useful. These are definitely made very heavy duty. It can crack large lobster craw and not break. I am using these and cheap rod type cracker to eat crabs and lobsters. Neither will do all.

Ya lo compré como cascanueces y me ha servido muy bien, tiene muy buen agarre, muy buen peso y de construcción robusta. Yo espero que me dure mucho tiempo.

Quite heavy duty, which is what I expected.

The nut cracker is solid, but I bought it because it specified and size nut. It's too big for pistachio which is why I bought it.
