I bought this pen for myself, and have been pretty happy with it -- it has a nice weight and quality feel to it, and writes well -- or at least it did, until the ink started to run out, which happened less than three months after purchase. And I don't write by hand that much, so that was rather disappointing. It's also not obvious what replacement ink refills to buy.The other small disappointment is that the detachable cap doesn't fit well onto the end of the pen, so it sometimes falls off while you're writing and actually scratches the metal coating off on the non-pointy end.

Smooth writing experience

Wow! Way better than expected for $18. It has a nice heft to it. It feels like a really expensive pen. The black gel ink writes super smooth and I think I'm going to really enjoy writing with this for a while.

Todo small

The cap comes off easily when writing and it wrote well for only a page or two and then started to skip to the point of being illegible. It wound up being more attractive, but less useful than an old 10 cent Bic pen. After all if a pen can't write, then what on earth could justify paying close to $20 for it???
