Advice from other reviews to go a size larger is NOT true for all dance forms
These are great shoes. However, in looking at other reviews, I was advised to order a size larger than my street shoe size because they theoretically fit small. But, I am an Irish dancer and found that the advice was faulty because I need tighter shoes in order to execute certain moves. That advice might be fine for someone doing Zumba or other dance forms, but NOT for Irish dance. I should have ordered my street shoe size or maybe only a half size larger. Also, because I thought I saw a different return policy, I can no longer exchange them for the right size... Bummer.

Order up 1.5 sizes
I read a review that said if I’m doing Zumba I’m not really dancing! Lmao ok. These shoes are super cute and I’m ordering another pair FOR Zumba but I am normally an 8.5. I wear a 10 in these! So if this helps at all, order 1.5 sizes up from your street sneakers. If you have falling arches don’t wear these. No arch support but if you are into comfort, flexibility and have normal arches I would give them a try

Love Bloch's for Zumba
Despite having bought and used Bloch dance shoes before that are shaped just like this and knowing I wear a size 8, these were bigger than my existing pair, slightly longer and wider, but I can lace them snug and make up the difference. I use them for Zumba so the room is good for toe spread and therefore balance. And I only put 'no' on the arch support question because these are dance shoes with a flexible, non-solid arch, so they really can't have that. I wear a size 6.5 in street shoes so if you order 1.5 sizes up generally speaking you'll be fine. Liked the fact that these have a lower profile than the existing pair of Bloch's I have. It helps when doing certain sideways moves, turns, twists, etc. Plus I love the colors and got lots of compliments at class today.

Company ripped me off
I am very upset about these shoes. I ordered a size up as recommended and they were too large. I tried spinning on them and they didn't spin well so I sent them back and the company only sent me half my refund back claiming they were black on the bottom which was not true. I tried them out on a clean carpet and wood floor(just to spin) and checked to make sure they were still clean before I sent them back. I had to pay shipping both ways so lost another $20 or so. Do not order from this company. Sizing is not correct and though you can spin on them better than tennis shoes, they still grab. So I paid about $50 with nothing to show for it. When I called Shopping Blitz they were not helpful. They said they threw the shoes away so would not honor the full refund. They sent me 3 emails claiming they had pics of the shoes but the pics did not come through on any of them. Leads me to believe there really weren't any pics. I give them less than a one star.

Order one size up from your normal jazz shoes
I wanted to post a review to help people with sizing. I am an adult male who was looking for a pair of groovy jazz sneakers for theater dancing, both onstage and in class. I saw these shoes in Capezio store in NYC but they didn't stock my size. The woman at the store informed me that these shoes should be purchased ONE WHOLE SIZE UP from your normal jazz shoe size. I wear a Capezio 10 in jazz slippers, so I ordered an 11 in these, and they fit like a glove. They felt snug initially, but after maybe 30 minutes of wearing them they formed to me feet and now I love them. Normally in men's sneakers I'm a 9.5, so definitely order up in these.

3rd time buying
So with just a teeny tiny wiggle room I can comfortably wear/run in 8.5 women’s Nike sneakers. This is my 3rd time returning and re buying these Bloch sneakers. I started at a 7.5 (because I’m usually a 7-7.5 in Bloch Tap shoes) and now finally comfortably fitting at an 8.5 with no socks. With socks it’ll probably be a little snug at first but I know over time the material will stretch out.Honestly after reading all the reviews it’s really what you most feel comfortable with, and also putting into consideration how wide or narrow your feet are. These shoes seem to run a little narrow but again with time they will stretch out.So for me, I didn’t have to move up or down a size, the 8.5 fits perfect on my feet.In comparison to my Nike 8.5, I want to say it’s probably a half size bigger than this 8.5 Bloch sneaker.Super comfortable love the arch support. Great for when I’m teaching dance. For you dancers out there I really love these sneakers, good for pirouettes and can easily move through my tendus.

What you really need for Zumba !!!
I bought many sizes because they run small and don’t come in a wide. So glad returns are free.I’m probably too old for Zumba 4 times a week, but these shoes improve my level. Without the stabilizers like many shoes, I’m much more agile. You can even point your toes! Going up 3 sizes was a surprise, but I clearly needed it.

Good quality
Very good shoes, but very narrow and pushing the leg. Probably had to take a half size bigger, but maybe with the time as I use it, it will widen up. Overall those are very good shoes!
