The SleepRight Rx does not require boiling water or molding plastic for fitting. With SleepRight's patented, self-adjustable technology, you have four bite pad settings, making it easy to customize the size to fit all people. The bite pads adjust forward for a smaller fit and backward for a larger fit, as well as swivel to match the angle of all bites. The SleepRight Rx is a drug free, natural approach to preventing TMJD, and an affordable alternative to lab-made guards.

Better than most store-bought dental guards, but it didn't fit me.
This is the second dental guard I've tried (the first was one of those boil-to-fit ones). Neither of them fit my mouth very well. This one is tiny, yet loose. (To be fair, it is advertised as the slim fit, but I was expecting something tighter). I have a small mouth, and it just didn't work out for me. It was so loose it kept falling out, despite adjusting it. I had it for one night and realised it wouldn't stay put to sleep in, despite leaving it in for awhile for it to warm up and mould to my teeth. The main problem with this dental guard is that it doesn't wrap around your teeth, so while it is very comfortable to wear, it doesn't stay put. I've given up on store-bought dental guards, and today I asked my dentist to make a custom one for me. In trying to save money, I only ended up blowing an extra $50 on dental guards (including this one) that didn't work. It might work better for some people, but I ended up being afraid to wear it in case I accidentally swallowed it. I'm sure I'm being paranoid and there is no way I could actually swallow it, but I just didn't feel comfortable sleeping with it in.

Solved a serious medical problem better than $400 custom-made applicance
Purchased this because I am literally breaking my teeth with night-time bruxism. Also waking up with headaches. Had a $400 appliance made by the dentist, in my opinion it actually placed more pressure on the front teeth. Final straw was breaking a front tooth at the root, requiring treatment from an endodontist, oral surgeon and dentist. Will be $5000 out of pocket when all is said and done, for one dental implant. Have worn this device for 4 months now, now purchased a replacement item. Have found it comfortable and effective, best solution so far irrespective of price. Less obnoxious than the other mouthpieces, too, in terms of looks. Doing nothing was no longer an option, have tried: custom device from dentist, various off the shelf sport mouthpieces, so far this is the one I recommend. Recommended to my daughter for her bruxism, which is apparently hereditary.

For Clenching of the teeth when sleeping
For clenching (where you press your teeth together hard at night rather than grinding them back and fourth) this is good - I'm not sure about grinding. Have been using one for about maybe two years and it finally got worn out on the pads where you bite down so I bought a new one. Without using the SleepRight nightguard, I wake up with my teeth hurting. With it, things are fine. It also helps you to sleep more relaxed, in my opinion. Even if I take a nap this goes in. My dentist wanted me to get a hard mouthpiece type mouth-guard. However, another dentist had made me about a $500 hard plastic gizmo to go over my teeth that upon waking up in the morning I was sure they would fall out from pressing down on it so hard. Therefore I wasn't about to buy another expensive piece of junk I'd never use. This is sooooo much better. If you are constantly stuffed up and wonder if you can have anything in your mouth at night, this is the best thing I have found (being constantly stuffed up, sinus-wise, myself). The little two Dollar football mouthpieces that you boil to shape to your mouth are too big. The new one I got seemed to be smaller than the old one and more streamlined, which is good. Overall, I rate the quality and usefulness of these very high. And at the price you can't go wrong...your dentist might not like SleepRight cutting into their business, but hey, they make more money than we do anyway, right? Don't pad their wallets any more than you have to.

Straightening my teeth??!!
Since I started using these for night grinding (which it definitely prevents!), I have also noticed my teeth getting straighter / lining up better. Possibly because this also acts as a "spacer." I am in my late 20s and have always had crooked teeth, probably partially due to the grinding, and I never did get braces but definitely needed them when I was younger.I like that this product is BPA free as well.Comfortable enough. Doesn't fall out of my mouth. Been using them for about a year. I hate to sleep without mine in. I prefer the Slim Comfort one and so does my husband.I will definitely buy them again.

Good for smaller jaws
I've lost a bunch of teeth as a result of grinding prior to using dental guards. My first Sleep-Right guard was great... until I misplaced it. The second one never felt quite right. Did they change the design? After the dog ate the second standard Sleep-Right guard, I wanted to try a smaller size. This product is much more comfortable for me (5'-2" tall). I was concerned that the low profile wings would allow the guard to dislodge during the night, but so far, no problems. However, this guard would not be suitable for a larger mouth. Great for me though. Durability has never been a problem especially if you follow the directions and don't use it as a chew bone!

Waste of Money
Product too flexible which leaves you feeling like it will be swallowed at any moment. The adjustable notches are of no use as it feels the same no matter what you do. A proper fit and acceptable comfort level is impossible. Customer service gave me the royal run-around to return it, then claimed they never received it. If I had to order another guard I wouldjust go back to the models in which you boil to fit. I though this product would be better thanthose traditional units, but this SleepRight was just terrible and so was the company.

Doesnt really help with clenching
The first couple days of using this product your jaw feels very painful getting used to it. By the 5th and 6th day I actually woke up with no pain first time in a long time. But I was clenching so hard when I put my night guard back in for the 7th day it fit differently and I used it for 1 month every night after that just to make sure it was a lost cause and the pain started getting worse. My bite was off in the morning from clenching so hard on the nightguard, and it ended up hurting more than before I got it which was horrible.

Great dental guard!
This is actually the first dental guard that I felt comfortable with while going to sleep. I have tried others over the years and I would wake up with them out of my mouth. This is a great size for small mouths. It's true that in the beginning I was sleeping with my mouth open because of this dental guard, waking up with a dry mouth. Good mouth care is necessary. Now I got used to it and I am able to close my mouth, but without grinding my teeth. I would recommend it to a friend.
