I ordered this to test out on our beach vacation. There have been some incidents with shark baiting on the local pier, and better safe than sorry, right? We got one for each family member, and we are pleased to report that everyone had a great time in the water and came home with zero shark bites. We didn't really expect any, but proper preparation prevents...shark bites. We also came home with everyone's bracelet intact, no problems at all! The main thing we did was tie a double knot in the strings after pulling the adjustable tabs to the right fit. It was an extra security measure that meant we didn't have to worry about the bracelets coming loose while we were out in the waves.From an appearance standpoint, we love these. I wore mine throughout the day, both swimming and on land. It was a great accessory, fairly unisex and unobtrusive, but a good casual accent.As a bonus, I can't say for SURE that this had anything to do with us wearing these, but there was a whale sighting at the beach right after we left. We're bummed we missed it, but a friend got footage, and there hasn't been a whale sighting there I think ever before. And...well...no one can say for sure that it *wasn't* because we brought our Shark OFFs.

Well no shark has got me, yet. LolIt’s a nice ankle bracelet, it is a bit heavy but not annoying/noticeable. Would buy again

Ok guys and gals if you’re looking for some security in the water, look no further. I would like to call myself an avid SCUBA spear fisher. In actuality I only get a chance to go about 3-4 times a year. But, every time I go out I always struggle with predatorial fish. These are such as, sharks and Goliath grouper. So I set out to look for something to help. I found Shark Off. I compared it to the “name brand” bands of Sharkbanz. This product not only was cheaper to purchase but definitely performed just as well of not better than its name brand counter part. I went out for a dive in May of 2020; a dive buddy of mine wore the Sharkbanz brand shark repellent and I wore Shark Off. I noticed as the sharks came in they tended to come much closer to my dive partner than they did me. I even tested it solo. While swimming back to the boat I found myself isolated and was watching for predators. I spotted an approximate 5 foot bull shark approaching and it reached the proximity of about 20ft and it suddenly changed its course and had no further interest in me. Thus was an extreme game changer as I have bull shark come MUCH closer than that and continue to be curious. After this trip I was a new found lover of this product. Since it is not only inexpensive to use and it it’s wearability is comfortable, I will now from now on buy this product.If you are curious of how it works and would like to physically see it work I am in the process of uploading a YouTube video of it deterring sharks in open waters.

Not really sure if it works cause I never encountered a shark. But one of the bracelets broke. It didn't last long. So its up to you if you want to buy this product.

Bought 2. Each lasted about two weeks. Flimsy construction. Supposedly bought the “updated” version in Oct 2020 but apparently it doesn’t resolve the issue. Not sure if it actually deters sharks but doesn’t last long enough to find out.Very hard to remove so I just kept one on till it broke while swimming in the water. The band comes with there leather bands, but magnets are looped through the weakest of the three. So with the weight of the magnets and movement in the water, the soft leather doesnt last long.The second broke in my attempt to remove it. The slide mechanism to loosen for removal basically seals into place once you get it wet. So if you try to take it off, a different section of the band gives as it is apparently the weaker of the two. Poor design in general.Waste of money.

I like the design

Was in waist-high water at the Gulf and saw the zig-zag pattern coming towards me and my little girl in the water, lifted her up right away to take her back in but when it was about fifteen feet away it veered course. Not a big great white or anything, but we got to watch its dorsal and tail fin go by right before us and head a different direction and it ended up being a cool memory instead of a sketchy one. That plus that it's stylish has left me wearing it just to wear it now.
