Good value for price!
I am not a walnut aficionado, I'm not even a huge fan of walnuts as a whole. But I wanted to add it in to my nut rotation as it is such a healthy nut. I mean, it even looks like a little brain! So I bought a bag from this company and started to eat a quarter cup of them in the morning with coffee and my toast. After doing that pretty consistently for a few weeks I noticed on days I forgot or just didn't want to eat any that morning that I got hungrier a lot quicker in the day than when I was eating the nuts, so that helped me stick with eating them.So while I can not say that "oh, these are the best walnuts ever" or "they are total trash", I can say they are perfectly acceptable to my palate as a guy with a middle of the road opinion on the taste of a raw walnut in general. This is my second bag with this brand and I am happy with them as I have yet to see a better deal for the size while I am out shopping locally.

Nuts are so dried out and stale they crumble in your hand.
UPDATE: I want to return or exchange them but when I try to do a return it tells me "this item is not eligible for return". ???? I am NOT happy. I am very unhappy with this purchase. My 4 Lb bag arrived sealed but the nuts are bone dry and crumble into dust when breaking them up for consumption. They are stale and therefore not usable. Expensive lesson.

High Quality Walnuts
I have had multiple good experiences over the years with this company and this time was great as well. The walnuts are huge and the lighter colored less bitter kind. If you eat lots of walnuts, you know what I mean. Some are more medium brown to a kind of dark brown and they are lower quality and more bitter. These were large and golden brown and very mild even in their raw state. I soak my seeds and nuts overnight and then dehydrate to make them easier to digest, give a great texture and taste better.Remember I said these were already fairly mild for walnuts raw, well after soaking over night in water with a little salt (discard water, don't use) and dehydrating they were super fantastic. Super crispy, light, buttery and very mild.Just for fun: Research for yourself, but Soaking, then dehydrating on low helps removes Tannins, various unhealthy chemicals, increased enzymes, easier digestion so you can absorb more nutrition and they tend to get crispier and so much more flavorful. If you decide to do this, only use raw nuts and seeds.I highly recommend this company. Their quality is A+

Walnuts
I had recently told my large family (bakers and nut fanatics all) about this brand and even sent them pictures showing rows of large, perfect walnut halves. I considered these the very best after trying several brands. Then I opened my latest order to find the quality was nothing like my prior orders from this company. In this current order, there are only a few halves and a lot of bits and pieces, and they are not fresh tasting at all. To remove the brown color and bitter flavor that dried walnuts have, I always soak them in clean water for about 3 days, changing the water when it becomes dark. This produces a fresh, delicious, light-colored nut with no bitterness. (The water looks like sewage after a couple hours of soaking, so it's easy to see why they taste bitter). These did not become fresh and white and delicious as they normally do after soaking, even though they did improve some. Now I'm reluctant to order them again; $26 for 4 pounds is a bit steep if I can't count on the quality.

Updated Review- Still happy but getting concerned
Update#2: So I've purchased 6 bags now (expert level) and the last two have not been as fresh. Still crunchy, but tasting somewhat oily/old. I'm hoping this is just one off but if it continues- I may call customer service. Exp. Date on last bag states 5/2022 so that's not the issue. Maybe now that it's getting warmer, with storage, it's affecting the quality. We'll see...Update: On my 2nd bag. Still amazed at how fresh and absolutely delicious these walnuts are. Very, very pleased! My local store was out of walnuts and feeling quite miffed, I decided to check out Amazon and found these. When one door closes...Not only were these less expensive, but the freshness was such a pleasant surprise! I use them for snacking and I'm pretty much already halfway through the bag (a 4 lb bag). They're that good. Plan on buying again!

Absolutely Fresh. No hint of oxidation.
My wife and I have been pleased with our Amazon subscription for Spicy World Bulk Raw Walnuts. One annoyance has been several "out-of-stocks; shipment delayed" notices. My every intention was to maintain that subscription, but my wife encouraged me to look for another option. We are extremely pleased we had. Firstly, these walnuts are whole, as described. The other vendor's walnuts were not. We could expect to receive a 1/2 cup of pieces and granules. None went to wasted: the pieces went set aside for garnishes on salads and entrees, the granules were incorporated into various smoothies. But, it did suggest the contents had been handled roughly by the time they had reached our door. So, we cancelled the subscription for Spicy World, and will continue ordering the We Go Nuts, LLC brand. Thank you so very much for a fine, delicious product.

My Husband LOVES These Walnuts
My husband has a handful of these walnuts every single day on his cereal and loves them. I put about a third of the bag in a storage bag to put in the cabinet next to his cereal. The rest I put in a freezer bag and store in the freezer so they stay fresh. When I take more out of the freezer, I lay them on a platter on paper towel to absorb any moisture from being frozen. A bag lasts him about two months and he says the last walnut always taste as fresh as the first one out of the bag. I don't eat walnuts but he says these are excellent. I especially like the fact that I get them via Subscribe and Save.
