When I opened this product it smelled strongly of garlic. I wrote the company to see if they could help me understand why the chose to use garlic in a product when garlic is a known toxin for dogs. They shared that there's only a very small amount (it is literally the ONLY thing I smell when I open the container) and there are studies showing it's safe, that they see benefits from it, and included a product marketing sheet for me to read. Now, don't get me wrong, I swing more natural on the spectrum. But I also know that just because something is safe for a human does not mean it's safe for every creature. When I enthusiastically asked to see the studies (because we once believed the earth was flat and now know better, I'm all about new info shedding light) I never heard back.I'm disappointed that this product clearly has far more garlic than they are saying and that the company is defensive against sincere questions about pet safety and was not able to explain why they used garlic over another, more dog-friendly substance that has the same benefits.

I had been giving my male mini schnauzer and doberman mix plaque off for about a year with significant success, (50% reduction in plaque). It is a bit expensive so I began looking for something similar but more affordable. Then I came across this product and decided to try it. I gave it to my five dogs. Two Chihuahua's- 5lbs & 9lbs, male and female mini schnauzers - 22lbs & 24lbs, and doberman mixed - 55lbs. On the first day all dogs ate their food as normal. Day two all dogs ate their food but about 45 min. later I found my female schnauzer on the grass not moving. She had foam on her mouth, glassy eyes and soft poop coming out. I called her but she didn't respond. I carried her inside and cleaned her up but the poop just continued seeping out without Stormy responding to my coaxing. I immediately gave her Life Gold liquid, a homeopathic treatment I trust, and pedialyte with a syringe. My vet's office was closed so I would have to wait till morning to take her in, so I prayed for her and continued my treatment. Thank God Stormy began to respond after about thirty minutes. I do believe this product caused this. My four other dogs have not had any adverse effects but please keep a close eye on your pet if it is the first time they take it. Like humans pets are all different and can respond differently to new products. If Stormy had been alone I think I would have lost my little girl. It was a horrible experience.As for the plaque removal I didn't use it long enough to give an opinion. Good luck.

This is the BEST all natural plaque remover you will find out there. I have done some reasearch because I have a pooch who is 16 yrs old and I love to pieces. He has been on Iams dry dog food since he was born and I also have given him biogradable bones to chew on and keep his teeth clean. I have never had his teeth cleaned because he is very aggressive and a biter.I started taking notice that he was chewing funny and thought maybe he had some mouth issues and plaque due to his age and after doing extensive reasearch on plaque removers I opted for an all natural one because of the toxic ingredients I found and heard of horror stories of others pets getting very sick or dying.I love this plaque remover because it's all natural. As soon as it arrived I put it to the test and was astound at the results in as little as a week. I started noticing bright pearly whites which meant it was doing the job and top it off we had to take him to the vet for something in his eye and the Dr did am overall exam and said she was amazed at how he had no plaque on his teeth for his age and how white his teeth were. I smiled from ear to ear and not to mention he has only been on this for 2 weeks now!!!! I will be stocking up on this product forsure!!!!

I have to post a review for this! I only wish I had found this product ten years ago before spending thousands on dental work for my two cocker spaniels. In less than a month this has cleaned almost all of the heavy tartar off my dogs teeth. Prior to this she was going to have to be out under for another deep cleaning. I've already recommended this product to my sister for her dogs. You will not regret this purchase and will save your dogs teeth. It also solved my one dogs bad breath issues! I was skeptical and not sure about spending so much for this, but it takes only very little, will last months and works miracles.
