Great quality, will last years
I used a jack saw to cut thru my 1/2 inch garage door. I cut the bottom at a downward angle. This was my first time using a jack saw. The door is heavy duty. I wanted something for the cat to use bc I keep the cat litter in the garage. It’s such a heavy duty door I had to cut the bottom magnet off to get my cat to push herself thru. Yes I’m prolly leaking out cool air bug it’s minimal and I’m pretty impressed that I was able to do this myself

Highly recommend
I have a single flap and installed into a metal door that leads out to the sunroom. Installed for my two kittens (1yrs old, 4 month old). Although I do not have product leading to the outdoors, theirs a significant differences in temperature between sunroom and home. This product keeps the temperatures separate! There's no draft and no noticeable seepage. Very happy. Its not necessary to use hardware, you can just use a hefty amount of silicone and then strap it to door (or wall) for 24 hours. By the way the cats Love it. Had to work with them more than a few times but now they use it on there own all the time. I can tell this product will last for the long haul as it's made from great material. Highly recommend

Beautiful Door.
It was a bit pricy but after installing it I can see why. It is truly well built. My German Shepard loves it. My little is old with arthritis and has a bit of trouble with the double flaps. I have two minor cons. One is the directions could be slightly more explanatory which wasn't a problem for me but most people don't have my construction background. The other is the robots given for rivoting the two halves together are too long and never reach the proper break point leaving them sticking out half an inch. I had the proper length rivets and all worked perfectly.

Descent door
I installed this in an exterior wall. Using it this way is not the way it was intended, and you will have to add some framing around the inside of the wall. It functions well but the flap can stay partially open a little bit when its very cold out. Also the tabs for holding the sliding insert to close iff the door, are a light plastic and should be better for the price. All in all a good door, and better than most.

Works great but not really weatherproof
It's a nice door and the flap works great, snaps back in place great. Have had for a few months now and is holding up with 3 dogs but it is not weatherproof. There are pretty big gaps on the sides of the flaps that are open to the elements so the only way to keep the weather put is to have the steal plate down. Even then, on days/nights below freezing ice forms on door. We have a storm door that we can shut at night to help keep the weather at bay so it works and as a dog door I would recommend but probably not to anyone who lives in an area that gets true winter.

Pups love it
Best decision I've made all year. It's for a wooden door, so it will have to be attached with the screws outside. Seems solid and weatherproof. We'll see how it holds heat this winter...

Worth it
It keeps the cold out and seals up correctly 8/10 times, with the times not sealing correctly it still keeps a ton of air out, just a slight draft here and there. A bit time consuming to install, but worth it. The large is almost to small for my standard poodle but he manages.

Finally bought the right size
The size is a bit tricky to figure out but they refer to the opening not the entire framed piece. Took a LOT of effort to install but we were installing in a wall not a door. The dogs love it.
