Chuck is doing fine under pressure; could do with a better chuck key.
I bought the 16mm chuck and using the SDS+ fitting and the 13mm which I am using with the hex fitting. Been putting the 16mm through plenty of abuse here - including drilling through 20mm thick square steel bars with a 10mm dewalt HSS-G bit, using a big 240v drill! :) No problem at all.My only critique is that its hard to get enough tightness on the chuck to stop the bits from getting wheelspin under heavy load, and attempting to get the required tightness tends to chew up the chuck key, which could do with being of a higher quality. The teeth of the chuck itself are very resilient..... I suppose the key is deliberately made of softer steel than the chuck itself, so that any damage is done to the key and not the chuck?I'm buying a couple more of these chucks so that I can leave the most commonly-used bits attached to the chuck and swap out SDS+ chucks instead of swapping out bits!UPDATE Nov 2020: hex fitting snapped clean off in Dewalt impact driver. The chuck was holding a #3 philips bit which was oversized for a standard bit holder. Hex fitting probably never was intended for impact use ;)
