Super well made and comfortable out of the box.
Bought these for future hiking and daily knock around based on my research. These sandals are very well made and hefty but not too heavy IPO. Spent 10-15 min to adjust and re-adjust straps so that toes, tops, heels, etc. are not being rubbed when I walk. So far so good - seem to be comfortable from day one and no issues related to size or being overly stiff. My normal shoe is 9 to 9.5 US so purchased size 9 and they are perfect. My first hiking trip is scheduled for Oct of 2023, so will have plenty of time to break them in, but honestly, I have worn them for the past two days, 5+ hours per day, and not even a start of a blister. May want to spend time when you first try them on to adjust/re-adjust the straps so they are a hair loose at the toes.

Restored my faith
These are my 7th pair of Chacos. I go back 30 yrs with the Z1. When they were made in Colorado they were the absolute best with outstanding customer service too. Then success brought Chinese Chacos and things went south. Soles fell off, footbeds cracked, straps frayed, more soles fell off.I looked elsewhere and asked hikers and watersports people for recommendations. I looked on Amazon and they ( of course) followed up with an email. Basic black Z1s for $50. And I ordered them.So far I'm very pleased. I wore them for a week in the Mojave. I noticed they were made in the Dominican and the build looks good. No break in required and the straps were easily adjusted. The straps are ridiculously long, as they've been in recent years and I sew the excess back onto the strap. As everyone says, time will tell, but these seem to be an improvement over the products I've been buying the last 10 years.

Best outdoor footwear ever.
My son works in the outdoor industry: white water, paddle boards, hiking, etc. He wears them in everything but rock climbing, and recommended Chaco brand to me. I have owned mine for 5 years now and he webbing just now started to fray. I still have plenty of life left in mine. I even wear them out in the desert, but that is just me. Some of ya'all want to avoid snake bite. So, unless you are rock wall climbing or walking among rattlers, this is the buy for you.

I LOVE them
They fit great, they're really comfortable, and they seem well-built. They were flat and stiff when new, but now that I've worn them for a few weeks, they're a lot more flexible, and the footbed is starting to conform to my foot really well. I need lots of arch support, and these are starting to do that. I would buy them again when these wear out. The straps snug up very well on my foot, too.

Canโt say enough good things!!
This is the third pair of chacos Iโve purchased. The other two pairs are still looking nearly new. I should mention I purchased my first pair about 10 years ago living in Texas. If you know anything about that area, itโs HOT, most of the year!!! I wore them at least 5-6 years for 6-8 months each year and the soles still have a substantial amount of material. The only minor gripe I can think of is weight, but you can easily hike or go outdoors with these (remember they are still sandals though not bootsโฆ)Buy em especially if you can find em cheap, I think these were only 55$ or so on Amazon, first two pairs were more like 90-100 at REI.

Takes a while to put on
It's a great product, but for double the price of the knockoffs that I've had for 3 years, these take a century to put on and take off. The fitment is kinda weird, but I guess that's all preference. I'm glad I own these as they're a superior product in that I'm not afraid to go running in these, while the knockoffs you DEFINITELY should NOT run in, as the knockoffs are just glued together rather than a single band ran throughout the entire product such as these are.

Great for large feet
Found a cool color that fits well. My previous pair of the same kind fell apart after exactly 2 years (bottom rubber just fell right off) but granted i was pretty hard on them. Hopefully my new pair lasts at least as long

Chacos are great! Where did the Vibram soles go?
Owned at least 15 pair over the past 25 years. I don't think there is a better sandal made. Always buy the Zs the ones with the toe loops are not as good. Vibram soles lasted about three years with everyday wear. Not sure about this new Chaco sole. Straps will last forever as long as your puppy doesn't get a hold of them. Only negative thing about Chaco is their repair program is too expensive approx $40.00 with shipping. Might as well just buy a new pair on sale.

Excelente compra
Recomiendo ampliamente la marca de sandalias Chaco, se ajustan a tu pie en todo, super practicas y ergonomica, lo unico malo que veo es que este modelo pesa un poco, pero un 9 de calificacion

Best sandalever
These are the best sandal made if you hike and walk lots. Take a while for feet to get used to but after a couple of weeks this is alk you will wear.

Love them. Live in them.
Great sandals. Wore through the tread of the last pair so was time to order another. Too bad I can't use the ReChaco program (don't live in the US) but was happy to get another pair.
