This compass looks great and was exactly what I was looking for. I used it for a magic trick with a 'Pirate Theme'. It was perfect and fit all my other props.I would recommend this compass as a gift for any young person interested in 'early navigation'.

Very great presentation does not appear to be cheap my friend was so excited for this as she's an avid hiker but her 10 year old boy was so excited about it he stole it from her. So she's now teaching him how to use a compass Sorry for the use of voice recognition

Nice, for the price.
It's a little slow to North, but once it's oriented it's accurate. I misplaced my Feng Shii compass, and needed a fast, inexpensive replacement. This saved the day, for me.

Perfect first compass
The picture under the compass had moved, but that was an easy fix. The case is a little thin but it's perfect for a first pocket compass for a boy just getting started.
