A spiritual classic
This is one of those rare accounts of the authors spiritual journey and very interesting events and interactions in his life.To be put there with autobiography of a yogi and living with the himalayan masters and other rare classics. The only negative i would say is the author doesnt advocate a vegan or vegetarian diet enough. An essential part of a spiritual path and expression of compassion.Sometimes people dont wanto turn off meat eaters with trying to gather more students. Also they are usto the garbage they were fed in earlier life and come up with any excuse why they still need to eat it without thoughts of the animals. and there want of loving treatment. This is a book that after reading one will never forget.A very very good book. What can be said about such an interesting book? Its not to be missed.

Quite unbelievable but God is unbelievable too!!!
A collection of marvelous, miraculous, unbelievable personal experiences. Well, these are unbelievably miraculous that either you will disbelieve or be open to all possibilities and let them open your heart like never before just because those were experienced by an ordinary common man like us and this is what set this spiritual autobiography different and more effective from others. Why one should believe in such extra ordinary experiences? Because nothing opens the hears like miracles and that's why all religious, spiritual texts are full of them.Let this book open your heart like never before!! Hard Om Tat Sat!

A book for serious aspirants
This is a very good source of inspiration for serious seekers of God or spiritual truths. The book focuses mainly on Hindu practices but successfully drives the point home that religious bias and prejudices are meaningless. If the seeker is sincere and true in his quest for the truth or God, any religion and path will take you to your goal.A very common sense approach to religion and helps put the horse and the cart in the right perspective. Religion was made for man and not the other way around. Man, his welfare and quest for God comes first. And any religion is only a means to this end. This may be hard to digest for blind believers and followers of orthodox religion who place more importance on the method, rules, regulations and protocols of their preferred religion; where rules become more important than an all embracing love for God and the diversity in his creation.

Spiritual classic
Everything and more than I expected based on the reviews. I never thought that there could be another spiritual autobiography to compare with 'Autobiography of a Yog.'' This was a compelling and rivering read. It is serious stuff and may be only appreciated by the seriously spiritually-inclined. To the spiritually uninitiated this may seem like a fairy tale which it is definitely not. One slight drawback is the quality of the language. The punctuation needs to be improved since it interferes with smooth reading of the material. Overall it is a spiritual classic.

A very interesting spiritual journey of a mystic from south india
Journey of a mystics which actually begins many many lives ago. The author, who seems to be an enlightened being, explains his spiritual journeys from the very beginning that might spin some brains. The events are really interesting and very difficult to accept. But one could read it without accepting, analyzing or judging. The humbleness of the enlighted being is note-worthy.

For Spiritual Aspirants
If you're on a spiritual path, and are working on your liberation (although Ramana Maharshi used to say, we are liberated already, why work on it?) you will benefit immensely from this book. The author ("M") writes beautifully about his spiritual development. We meet the great deathless Babaji, Shirdi Sai Baba (who appears in person, although he has been dead many years), and many other saints too numerous to mention in a review. Sri Ramakrishna and Vivekananda are discussed, and we meet monks (swamis) of the Ramakrishna Order. Truth is eternal, which means it does not change. Knowledge is acquired, but truth exists. As Jesus said, the truth shall set you free. Or as Socrates put it, know thyself. The author lived all this himself, and warns us that much of it will be hard to swallow. There is so much to absorb in this book, it will take many readings. Thankfully, we don't have to deal with the likes of sloppy translations from the New Testament, where those who did the various translations had little real understanding of what Jesus taught.

Introduction to mysticism
This book is indeed a fascinating read and gets the reader introduced into the world of yoga and meditation. But many of the facts outlined are outlandish and hard to believe or fathom and has many analogies to Hindu myths which makes you wonder if the story has been loosely based on those myths to attract the reader instead of being factual.

What a wonderful treasure for the devotional seeker of God
What a wonderful treasure for the devotional seeker of God! I have thanked Sri M (by email) for his story and his faithfulness. In his description of his spiritual journey, he includes visits with many saints and sadhus. His discussion of meeting Sri Guru Babaji is thrilling, and the yogi who becomes his guru (at Babaji's command) talks of his experience with Sri Shyamacharan Lahiri Mahasaya (documented in Yogananda's Autobiography of a Yogi). There are super- and supra-rational experiences related, which are astounding but believable; but rather than describe them here, I heartily recommend to the reader to obtain a Kindle copy of this narrative, and enjoy the journey with Sri M.

It's like "Autobiography of a Yogi"
It's like "Autobiography of a Yogi" by Paramahansa Yogananda, in terms of style (not writing style, but the concept). It is well-written and takes you through interesting stories to get your spiritual juices pumping. You can watch lots and lots of Sri M on YouTube as well. I think you'll like it... watch a couple vieos first to see if you like him, then you will like the book. Please click "Helpful" below.... thanks!

truly rewarding
Having gone through most of spiritual journey titles recommended by amazon about Himalayan masters, I found this true gem! There are those that weave spellbinding magic with words, others that serve up a heap of neatly targeted information or touching wisdom but this one has a voice that sets it apart. This author persuades simply by presenting himself as he is, and what he encountered, no embellishments needed. There are more personal details than some of the spiritual classics, but here they serve a purpose, somehow by being who he is, he becomes the reflection of something pure and profound. I tend to speed read, sometimes even the classics, but I found myself treasuring each page of this book, because he tells the story in such a way that I could live and breathe his adventures, through his words, at the same time marvel at how he is able to matter of factly suggest the mystical with the quotidian. I bought the book on impulse, not having read the reviews. It was so good I was curious as to what other people thought. So glad I'm not alone in my assessment, and even more grateful that such a book exists.

A remarkable account of a timeless spiritual journey
This remarkable book can only be compared to Yogananda's Autobiography of a Yogi in its intimate and devotional portrayal of the writer's relationship with his Guru over many lifetimes. It is both a thrilling account of his adventures and mystic experiences, and a source of information on some of the deeper occult secrets of classical yoga and Eastern mystic practice. As with Yogananda's classic this book offers a direct spiritual experience for the reader with the subjects so vividly brought to life within it's pages.

A must read!
Stunning account of a living yogi’s life to-date. You’ll find some of it hard to believe and question the veracity of what’s presented here. Good. This is for questioners and seekers of the truth. Delve deep into the pages, whether you believe or not, the journey will be transformational and you’ll come out the other side brighter-eyed, more curious and more hopeful about life than ever before. Thank you Shri M and your Gurus for this heartfelt book.

Destined to become a spiritual classic
Most certainly one of the very best spiritual books I have ever read. Not only is the story captivating, engaging and inspiring, but the book itself seemed to emanate a transmission. Perhaps that's an exaggeration, but the power of the book is palpable. I'm now in my Fifties and I have been fortunate to study with many masters in person, as well as read countless books on the topic of spirituality. Needless to say that this book feels utterly authentic and is destined to become a true classic. I would easily rate it as one of the top three spiritual books I have ever read, perhaps even #1. I can't give it any higher praise than that.
