unexpectedly good set of strings
I've been playing violin for many years, but I recently got a cheap cello from a friend. The first thing I wanted to do was replace the strings, but I didn’t want to spend a lot. The cheapest sets on Amazon are under $10, which I definitely avoid based on my violin experience. D'Addario Prelude costs $65. I’m familiar with Prelude from my violin experience—they’re more than enough for students. So, I decided to try the $22 Q QINGGE strings. To my surprise, they’re a solid set—thick, braided, and perform well. Q QINGGE offers at least two different sets on Amazon. I chose this one because the strings are thicker/heavier gauge. They require more tension, making them a bit harder to press, but they sound warmer and have more projection, which I like.

Worked well for my son's cello
We needed a working set of strings to replace the strings set the school placed on his cello. These worked great and came fast.

These lasted less than 2 months and sounded terrible.
