Be prepared to spend time getting bubbles out to get a good finish! Worth it though.
It requires a little bit of extra time to be spent on it to get the bubbles out, also make sure the surface is very clean so specks of dust don't get caught under. Having said that if that does happen, just clean and reapply! It's very effective during the day, in terms of privacy but also in blocking some of the light out, like wearing sunglasses. I covered the studio outside but also on the bedroom upstairs, as it gets A LOT of sunlight in the summer and gets very hot, even with the curtains closed! Careful not to scratch it, make sure surface is always wet when fitting and going over bubbles. I used a squidgy that I already had to do the job.

A brilliant idea that really works!
This was shipped out quickly and it came well-packed. Very happy to have found this product as we are bothered by new oh-so-nosy neighbours! Our kitchen window overlooks their kitchen window, unfortunately, and we noticed they were always looking at us whenever we were in the kitchen. Our window is right above our stove so net curtains weren't a very good option, but this film works a treat! Now, we can still look outside but they can't see into our kitchen during the day. I'm thinking of doing our living room window as well because every time they are outside, I catch them looking in our windows! It was super easy to install and went on quite easily with water sprayed first on the window. Very happy and now I'm dancing around my kitchen instead of trying to duck and hide! lol

Does shield the sun but still would not recommend
I bought this foil to cover the skylight in my office, so I wouldn't be roasted by the afternoon sun anymore. Cutting and installation was not fun but it did work. It did not look perfect but I did not care as much as long as it does the job. While quite some radiation and heat were shielded off, I still had to draw the blinds most of the afternoon and sit with artificial light on. Yet, I still had sun burn and irritation in my eyes and on my skin, though less than before. Overall, it did make the room gloomy and over the course of a couple of months made me depressed and sleepy. I just did not want to spend time in my office anymore.I now pulled it off again and moved my desk away from the window and it is so much better. Today is the first day in my office with the foil off again and despite dark clouds and rain all day, I have so much more energy. I am glad I took it off.I would not recommend this product for rooms in which you spend a lot of time. Maybe to shield an attic from summer heat.

Easy to use, static cling window film
I used this to filter out the sunlight coming through my living room window to stop fading of furniture and my books. It was easy to apply, I followed the instructions and had the film cut to size and on the window in about 10 minutes. It’s great because it is static cling and not sticky, so if you need to reposition you can just ease it back off the window and move it about. Putting the water on the window helps as it prevents air bubbles. I smoothed the film out with a plastic store loyalty card and it looks great. The outside is mirrored so it helps with privacy too, although when it’s lighter inside than out, this does not work as well.

Good for privacy, effective for price.
Bought the film for a north-facing bedroom window. The lower panes in the window are low enough for houses opposite to see in. We have had to keep the curtains closed when getting changed etc.The end result is a room in darkness. This film allows keeping the curtains open during the day, as it pretty much stops any view in, as long as it is brighter outside than in. It's not an issue at night, as you'd close the curtains anyway. The first pane I did, I left a spec of dust, so I can still see it. I used a squegee on the 2nd window, before spraying more soapy water on both the window, and the film. Squeezed out excess bubbles, using a credit card wrapped in a micro-fibre cloth. Even so there seemed to be a bit of a bubbly finish when I was done. However, a couple of days later the end result is pretty flat. It's not 'optical quality', but it's good enough that we can't be bothered to order some sealed units with mirroring built-in. For the money. It's good.I see that some reviewers have had issues with the film falling off. I don't know if it makes a difference, but we did use a bit of washing up soap in our water (ecover)... about the same concentration as used for washing up. Also, we did push out the bubbles with the card.... maybe that also pushes out the water, when there are no bubbles. Equally, it could be variation in product quality. At any rate it's still attached well one week later, and that's even with a bit of condensation on the windows, as you'll sometimes get in the morning.

It works would
Works just as expected and it reflects the sun away from my room and cuts down on the temperature but they is one down side to consider when buy it's not got a sticky surface but sticks to window as if it has and I flowed the instructions to well and my first attempt was bad and wasted half roll bit was easy to see what I did wrong after that just wish it didn't take half a roll doing so best tip is use water on window as applying the more the easyer it is to get bubbles out and no plastic tool with roll and its impossible to use with out
