Knitting is an intriguing and productive hobby, and an excellent method for coping with a hectic and stressful lifestyle..... And it's way cheaper than therapy. This DVD assumes no prior knowledge, and walks you through all the steps for casting on, knitting, purling, increasing and decreasing. For the visual learner you can't improve upon the slow demonstrations and the DVD's ability to repeat as many times as you need. I use three washcloths as the introductory projects because they are quicker than the traditional interminable scarf, teach you more technical skills, and are completely useful even with the normal novice knitter "owies" included. By the time you have completed all three washcloths you will know more than most beginning knitters and can move happily on to sweaters. To complete these washcloths you will need a ball of cotton or cotton/hemp yarn (3.5 oz, worsted weight), a pair of Size 7 needles and a darning or tapestry needle.

Perfect for learning how to knit from square one!
Absolutely loved this! Martha is wonderful! Very relaxing voice and style of teaching. Her instructions are very very clear . Just like having a teacher there with you every step of the way! I highly reccommend this DVD to anyone who wants to learn to knit! Make sure you get her kit or go on her website before you start to get info on the needles you need and type of yarn! And, she is super helpful if you contact her needing any information!
