Affordable and usable
Some ferro rods are obviously overpriced; probably the result of the current fad or trend of being a “survivor “ or knowing bushcraft. I backpack and hike and make lots of fires. This throws hot sparks, and is not overpriced. A little soft, so it may not last for thousands of strikes but I know I will reliably get hundreds. Perfect for starting a stove or tinder. I cannot imagine anyone giving these a bad review if they know anything about how to start and build a fire. I would purchase more.

A good value with practice
I didn't give it five stars mostly because of usability - specifically that you have to take the coating off them to make them work and once you do, you need to practice a lot with them a lot since while they are handy for being small, that small size doesn't give you a lot of "runway" to work the scraper or knife over to get a spark. Once you are practiced with it though- you will be able to light some great sparks.

Worked amazingly well
I have been using Bayite and Light My Fire ferro rods which are great, but bought these because I am teaching youth how to use ferro rods. I was surprised how well these worked for how little they cost. I would certainly buy them again.

These are great and cheap!
Got these because my Bayite 1/2inch is just too impractical to take everywhere. It was great for practicing, and I'll still use it if I try igniting a difficult piece of tinder, but these spark just as well (maybe a little bit better) and are small enough to carry anywhere. Attached one to my Mora to make an affordable knock-around bushcraft knife.Highly recommend.Anyone who was having difficulty either got a bad batch, or doesn't know how to use a ferro rod properly (my money is on the latter)

Ferro rod replacements
I got these to replace the ones on my knife case when they wear down. It fits like a glove. I have not used them yet but they look good to me. Cheap and affordable replacements.
