Works great at 5400MB/s in PS5
Working great in my PS5! The 2TB model gave results a little over 5400MB/s in the automatic PS5 test at installation. It is slightly below recommended minimum speed of 5500MB/s, but I do not believe this tiny difference will ever be noticeable. I did need to create a cover for the slot as the metal cover would not fit due to the size of the heatsink. I used carefully cut wide thick tape. I carved the edges of the tape with a sharp knife for a perfect fit; making sure to keep all airflow slots clear. This allows airflow to work identically to the metal plate. I have found this SSD to be considerably faster and more reliable than the several external USB 3.1 SSD drives I tried to use on my PS5 prior to this. I can now safely leave my PS5 in sleep mode and it will do automatic updates and downloads without errors or “rebuilds”.EDIT: December 28th, 2021: Still working great after more than 3 months of heavy use in my PS5.

PCIe Gen 4 With No Price Premium
As of the time I purchased this (I was one of the lucky ones that pre-ordered before the page was removed), the top end PCIe Gen 3 drives were exactly price matched with this drive. So getting PCIe Gen 4 speeds with no price premium was really nice of Corsair to do.I have two of these in RAID 0 in an MSI X570 Ace motherboard. The resulting 2 TB RAID 0 drive is then partitioned into two volumes: A 450GB partition for the OS (Windows 10 64bit Home), then the remaining space is one volume where I install the stuff that I want to access at PCIe Gen 4 speeds. The drives themselves are incredibly fast. Yes, you really need PCIe Gen 4 if you want to take advantage of the speeds these drives are capable of producing.Unfortunately, the current RAID 0 implementation of the MSI X570 Ace isn't good; the speed benefit from RAID 0 is negligible; you will get 90% of the RAID 0 speed by just using the drives as standalone, non-RAID drives. This will vary from motherboard to motherboard, so your mileage may (and will) vary. The drives run cool, thanks to their huge heatsinks. IMO, Corsair should not have pre-attached the heatsinks, as many motherboards come with built in actively cooled cooling solutions for m.2 drives. Users could either use the heatsinks or not, depending upon their own usage scenario. Other than this one small thing, I have zero complaints. These drives are cost competitive, very fast, and run cool. Corsair knocked this one out of the park.

Very fast but very expensive
This is a very fast NVME M.2 PCI Express 4.0 drive. It's mostly easy to install and once installed worked well with a Windows 10 Professional x64 installation. However, there are two problems. It has a very high cost per GB, but this is common in NVME M.2 PCI Express 4.0 drives. They all use the same Phison controller but they offer much higher speeds using AMD motherboards that support PCI Express 4.0.The other problem is the passive cooler that comes with the drive. A lot of motherboards have integrated NVME drive coolers as part of a plate and to use Corsair's cooler, you'd have to hack a part of the motherboard cover plate off. I chose to use the integrated motherboard cooler instead, but this is a pain in the neck, as I believe there will be future active NVME active coolers (probably with small fans) that would do a much better job than either the integrated or manufacturer supplied passive coolers. I think this is more the fault of the motherboard manufacturers than Corsair and the NVME drive manufacturers.

Great performance! Heatsink IS easily removable! Just wish there was a 4TB option!
I am not sure why so many reviews say that they were unable to remove the heatsink, all you have to use it a card and pop off one side at a time. The performance is great! I have it paired with a MSI PRESTIGE X570 CREATION and a AMD 3950X. As of now I only have one and use it for my OS drive, video production, and virtual machines. This is pretty much overkill for gaming. For a way better value, you are better off using a SATA based SSD with 3D Nand Flash for gaming but to each their own. My only complaint is that I wish there was a 4TB option as I use a lot of storage for virtual machines and video production. I will definitely be picking up a second one to put into my MSI PRESTIGE X570 CREATION motherboard but am only holding off for now to wait for a potential 4TB variant.

Yes. Just get it.
Presentation was below par, but was enough that it works and wasn't damaged. Since I only got the 500gb, the price could have been a tad lower. But it suffices being new and performing as well as it does. Having been set to be my boot drive, and my primary games launcher, it works phenomenally. Boot time is under 20 seconds every time. My games I have loaded on it load much faster than anything I've ever seen or used. The 5gb/s claim surely proves itself with ease. More than easy to install. In fact. So easy. I wasnt sure the first couple times I plugged it in, if it was even actually plugged in. It didn't make the same click as most other 3rd gen m.2 ssd's do. It made more of a slip in noise. Yet it works perfectly, so I know it was installed correctly 😁.10/10 recommended if you have the extra dollars to spend. Make sure you make it your boot drive. Load time is insane.

Small...Wicked fast...A great drive!
I was amazed at the size of this drive and also how fast it is. So small, yet so fast. I'm sure once I start adding more files and applications to it, the drive will slow down a bit, but seriously... 4998.33 MB/s read and 4215.96 MB/s write are nothing to balk at.The heatsink provided can be removed. I didn't need it since my MSI X570 Tomahawk motherboard came with a heatsink for the m.2 drive bays. One thing I should mention: There are a number of motherboards that won't allow the same read/write speeds that are advertised for this drive, so check what m.2 NVMe speeds your motherboard supports before you buy this and/or complain that it's not as fast as advertised.Using with: MSI X570 Tomahawk MB wi-fi AMD Ryzen 7 3700 32GB of DDR4 RAM

Corsair Force MP600 1TB Gen4 PCIe X4 NVMe
When I bought this product, the 1TB NVMe drive was 179.00 CAD. Even though it has slower sequential speeds than its newer iterations, the endurance is much higher. In some cases, read/write speeds are better than the later version of Corsairs 1TB NVMe - MP600 PRO.Used in a CAD workstation and so far no issues after nearly a year of daily usage.

A good ssd especially for the price

A bit hot but fast
I’m comparing this with a 1tb gigabyte nvme ssd that I have on my c drive. Compare to it, this ssd is slower ( but meets its advertised specs ) and also cheaper of course. I’d say it’s a good value for money and has a good performane too.
