S.O.S. Rations Emergency 3600 Calorie Food Bar - 3 Day / 72 Hour Package with 5 Year Shelf Life 4 pack

I ordered 4 of them and placed two in my truck, one in my bugout bag, and gave the other one away to friend for his bugout bag. The packaging for each food bar was vacuumed seal and then was stacked up and sealed in another bag which was placed in an amazon box with air bags for shipping. The manufacturing date is 11/14 and they expire on 10/19 and weighs 1.60lb or 756g. I haven't tasted one of these bars yet but will write an update to this review when i try one.

Looks great, nice to keep in car, backpack, or even dry food storage.

They taste like latin sweet pastry (Dry "Pan Dulce"). In case of emergency, I would probably love to eat them with some emergency coffee (no sugar because S.O.S rations taste sweet); very good taste! They surpassed my expectations.

These simply taste horrid. It was like eating a bar of table sugar. I ordered a pack of 4 so not sure how to get a refund. Guess I am eating the cost. (pun intended)

I ordered 4 packs and 2 of them were clearly not vacuum sealed. I don't think they will last the five year shelf life without the vacuum seal. The good news is, the manufacture date stamped on the packages was just last month. I am reordering and hoping for better QC this time around.

We opened one up to try them and we're blown away by how sweet these things are. They should make the same things with half the sugar

When thinking of emergency food sources, these are the first line of defense, not amazing cuisine, however they are calorie packed and ideal when an emergency strikes and you need a food source for a few days.
