Perfect for my eliptical
I bought this to use on my stairmaster (the real gym kind), the eliptical has a mini-shelf that can hold a tablet but I wanted to use my old ipad as a TV (streaming video from my server). I ordered this, and I was a little skeptical. Would this really hold on to a round horizontal bar and be stiff enough to prevent the ipad from bouncing around, would it slip on the round bar so I couldn't see it....This worked PERFECTLY! the clamp is tight enough on the bar to hold my (heavier old) tablet without slipping or rotating, the gooseneck is bendable, but even running the tablet doesn't bounce appreciably. So I now have 2 tablets on my elliptical. Well worth the money.P.S. The clamp takes some muscle to get on, but it wouldn't work otherwise.Just an update, after about 9 months of daily use (and an hour with the elliptical rocking back and forth) the tablet is as stable as the day I got this holder for it. Couldn't be happier.

Another one bites the dust . . .
For more details - see my review of "CTA Digital Height-Adjustable Gooseneck Floor Stand for iPad 2nd-4th generation (PAD-AFS)"This clamp seems insanely sturdy - as does the gooseneck arm. In fact - don't buy this if you are arthritic or weak - no problem for me cuz I got guns like Angela Bassett or Linda Hamilton circa 1984 in the Terminator. We purchased these to clamp onto arm of hair dryer chairs in our salon. (So clients can watch movies, check email, visit social media, etc.Unfortunately, it does not grip any of the tablets we purchased securely enough to make this a 'go' for us. We tried a few Samungs, 1 Microsoft, 4 Ipads, and a couple of lesser known brands we'd purchased specifically for this project. None of them were gripped tightly enough to make us feel comfortable mounting them on arms. It's VERY difficult to find a truly universal mount it seems. Before venturing on Amazon - I'd already tried a couple from MicroCenter and Best Buy. I guess we're going to have to bite the bullet and purchase the kind that you attach to the tablet using a heavy duty, permanent adhesive.

Very good universal holder with full rotation for huge screens
I bought this Tablet holder for a full HD 11" monitor. I was afraid the monitor was too thick for most tablet holders and if I need to turn the screen 90 degrees, a normal tablet holder won't be able to move or could slide out the screen to the side.So the only secure type of screen or tablet holder has to cover the edges diagonal so it won't fall off by rotation. Now there are various designs that can do that, but they cost very much. Any vesa type monitor mount is heavy metal and won't rotate easily or starts with way higher prices. I was about to improvise my own shaped screen holder before I found this splendid design. The rubber bands stick on my screens aluminium surface and don't slip off by itself. Some people might have not used it tight enough and thus the device fell. I made sure it takes some force to put it in, but then it lasts.I agree there are easier holders for pressing 2 slides together. Those work fine but I won't trust it for rotated use.I use this particular tablet holder for a HDMI full HD screen and direct connection to SLR camera for full preview. Depending on the camera angle of rotation I need to be able to turn the screen also. This tablet holder has a fast clip to disconnect the backplate from the flexible arm in one press. You can reconnect it with a click into it. The rotation axis is on the flexible arms top end and placed a little off angle so the screen rotates up to 350 degree I believe and in a non 90 degree angle to the axis...I think it's more like 70 degree. That might be useful or less, depending on purpose. The rotation goes quite fluid so the device has to be centered since it moves easily. The mount clamp is quite powerful as known for photo studio clamps. It's quite huge and more thin pipes or tripod legs won't fit inside. A table board or handrail are more likely the correct places and diameters.Since you can also turn around the rubber straps a small device fits too.The flexible arm is likely made of those typical metal rings covered with a very smooth antistick rubber coverage. In total very pretty, stable and universal as can be. My thick monitor of 11mm thickness still could be more thick to fit in.Tip: the force of holding a device is given with rubber strings and pressure. Make sure the surface of the devices edges are not oily and have good grip to soft rubber.

but easily worked, holds on to the rubber
Bought this to hold my tablet at the gym. Fits elliptical trainer and spin bike bars very well. The clamp is stiff, but easily worked, holds on to the rubber, metal and plastic surfaces found at the gym. Flexible arm is also stiff, but holds very well - no problems with sagging or excessive wobbling yet.I would say an 8" tablet is a minimum tablet size for this holder, this holder could not hold my 7" galaxy tab very well. The 7" just seemed to small for it.

This attaches on hospital table and makes it very easy for him to use the Tablet
I bought this to hold a Fire Tablet for my brother who is in a nursing home. He has the use of only one hand. This attaches on hospital table and makes it very easy for him to use the Tablet.

Rubber straps not the most user friendly
I bought this for my stationary bike to be able to use the Peloton app. The grips are not the greatest. If you move the iPad around too much they will fall off. I would not order this product again, but it works good enough for now. I use it with my iPad Mini. I do like the height of it for viewing while riding a stationary bike. The design probably just needs some overall tweaks to be a great iPad/tablet holder.

This is the best tablet mount I've found
This is the best tablet mount I've found! It clamps to anything, works with multiple tablet manufacturers, and is easy to take apart. We use this in our band, and probably use ten of them for monitor mixing and lead sheets.
