14 Inches Rugged- Chic Distressed Leather Women Sling Bag

So,i first saw this bag a few months ago and absolutely *LOVED* it. So, i ordered it. Being as it was being shipped from the other side of the planet, it still arrived a little ahead of schedule. The ETA was about 30 days after i ordered it. I arrived, and i loved it even more that i thought i would. It is a a slightly over sized 'urban carry all' All of my EDC items fit nicely, with room to spare, for any incidentals. There are 2 inside zippered compartments, that span the width and depth of the bag. Both these compartments fit my tablet perfectly. There are two smaller outside pockets that can easily fit an oversized cellphone, keys, and smaller items, if necessary.And the aroma. OH MY GOD.....the aroma..!!! This bag is made of genuine leather. It has the feel, the texture, the behavior and the aroma of genuine leather, In my opinion, that makes this bag even better.What i want to talk about is the seller of this bag.HandmadeleathercraftI recieved the bag, loved it, loaded it up with all my items, carried it every day since it arrived. So far so good, right?Wrong.One day, after about carrying this bag about 3 or 4 months, i came home from work, and noticed one of the rivets that holds the leather shoulder strap to the bag, had come off. I took a picture of the missing rivet, sent the pic to Handmadeleathercraft, asked them what i needed to do to have the bag repaired or replaced. The following morning, there were 2 emails in my email box. One from the Handmadeleathercraft, telling me that they were sending me a new bag ( with a Fedex tracking # ) and there was no need to send the original bag back. And one from amazon telling me that my bag was en route. The bag arrived last week. I could not be more pleased.Thats why i'm giving this bag and seller 5 big fat stars. For an amazing bag, and for absolutely amazing customer service / customer retention.

I Loved this bag in the picture and the size was just what I was looking for. I was a little worried because other reviewers had received bags with pockets a different color etc. I decided to risk it and loved this purse before I even had it all the ways out of the box.Mine looks exactly like the picture and smelled wonderfully of leather. It has a nice size center section, two zippered pockets, one on each outside wall, two thinner sections that seem lightly padded - I have no problem putting my tablet in either one of them - I put my phone in the other. I carry quite a lot of stuff and I can comfortably get it all in and organized.It can be worn on one shoulder or cross-body and looks great either way. The only reason I am knocking off a star is because the strap could be a bit thicker and more substantial. I am not sure how it will stand up over time, but if it breaks I like the bag enough that I would probably pay for it to be fixed.

I got this bag for field trips mostly. I needed a cross body as I usually end up carrying more items but I wanted it to be a decent size. The size is great. It is larger than most crossbodies but it is thinner so that keeps it from being too heavy. There IS a smell that comes along with this bag. It IS NOT the normal leather smell you get when you walk into a handmade shop. I don't know if I would call it chemical but it is strong. I used Glove-Oil on it to soften the leather as it is a bit stiff and then I used Mink Oil on it to waterproof it and hopefully tone down the smell a bit. I know that will eventually go away but I have a field trip this week so I was hoping to speed the process. It has dampened it a bit but I'm not sure I will be using it tomorrow. For the price, the bag is awesome. Most leather bags this size would cost several hundred dollars so I am willing to deal with the few flaws. There are a few strings but those were easy to deal with. I am completely happy with this purchase. The pictures are a great representation of what the bag looks like.

Love this bag. To tell you the truth, I ordered it by mistake...I had looked at them one evening and realized I had ordered but it was by mistake. Once the bag came and I checked it out, liked it well enough that I did not want to send it back. Good-looking bag, can be used for many different things or ways...but very stylish, good-looking leather purse. Plus you know it will last for years and years...Thank you. Leah C. of Leeds, AL

I love this bag... got it today. Delivered on time. Unlike some reviewers this bag did not have a funky smell. It actually has more room than I thought. I did find the adjustable strap a bit long so I wrapped it back and double latched it. I don't know how much weight you can put in it but if you like to keep it simple with what you haul around while feeling earthly, I am guessing you will like it. I have snapped some photos to show coloring and size.

I could not be more thrilled with my experience! First off, the bag isn't suppose to get here for another month at least, and it arrived in less than a week! I decided not to keep the bag, only because it's not as big as I was hoping; however, when asking the return policy, he suggested something else. He goes over and above for his customers! Beautiful bag too, just need larger, more heavy duty.

I have noticed the 'funky' smell and the 'glue'.The style is fantastic and it looks so big!!Update: Sorry to write this purse must go back. The smell is STILL very strong. It doesn't hold even half as much as my old purse. This purse also has a very annoying habit of falling because the balance is off. The front is heavy due to those cute pockets. I put a thick day planner in the back and that worked but then it was so heavy it hurt my back. So, no- I wouldn't buy this again. As far as that smell, its a funky sweet smell. Nasty! Nasty! Nasty! Smells up the entire room and I'm positive others can smell it too. I can't fathom what its cause is and don't really want to know.

Absolutely LOVE it! It came within a week. The leather looks durable. As previously mentioned, it does have a smell at first but after putting in the sun for an hour, it was fine. I love the rugged old style feel of the design. It is a perfect everyday bag. It has a lot of space.If you are looking for this rugged rough look this is absolutely perfect. However if you want a softer leather, soft lining for a more sofisticated look, I would say maybe reconsider. It is very good for its price but there is a huge emphasis on the 'rugged.'

I bought this bag 4 years ago and was carrying it daily for everything other than office or evening parties. I loved it so much that decided to buy a second one - same size, same style from the same seller.The bag is just right size to carry large vallet, small kid's toys, gloves , hats and occasional snacks if needed.Also, I love four flat pockets that are hidden on the sides, two of them are secured by zipper. So I can put my documents and other flat things that I do not want to be smashed or spoiled by the stuff that I have in the main compartment. Cell phones are sitting securely in these flat pockets as well.The leather is thick and rough, it has a sued look at the beginning and changes to darker and more glossy while you wear it. It absorbs some dirt gets this great western-style look. I look forward to wear mu second one for another 4 years or more.

Arrived five days after I ordered, was expecting to wait another month so a great surprise. Bag darker then what picture shows however, I prefer this as it's a beautiful deep rich colour, otherwise exactly as shown. This will be my every day go to purse, enough room for all your bits and pieces without being too bulky, tablet slides beautifully into the centre section of purse. No regrets whatsoever in purchasing this beautiful bag

I was aware by buying this that it was in goat leather... but the smell is really terrible! I let it outside maybe 3 weeks and it still smell in all my apartment after that... Now i'm trying let it rest with some kraft paper in an hermetic container and I hope it will absorb the smell (I cross my finger!) because the look is fantastic though! And it's a beautiful and strong bag. So be aware if the odor of goat leather bothers you: it' s a strong one!!
