Discontinued Beard Oil

Be aware, there is an added artificial fragrance to this besides the cedar oil.
Two things wrong off the bat:Leaky on arrival:This arrived leaking inside of its plastic bag inside of the shipping box. The oils lifted the label and there were fingerprints dissolved into it showing how someone handled and then packed it while it was already leaky. Not sure if that was at manufacturing or at the shipping warehouse with Amazon, but it was already leaky and continued to leak on the counter. There are other reviews that cite leaky packaging so this is not a unique problem it seems. If you do like this product, make sure you pack it in a ziploc bag when you travel with it!It has added fragrance:They don't mention it anywhere in the product description, where they cite the argan, jojoba and cedar essential oils used in the product, but I didn't notice until now that they say it is 99.9% natural, which I take to mean there is 0.1% artificial fragrance added to it. Well it smells strongly of this scent, so I would suspect there is more to it than that, but who knows? There is no regulation for calling something "natural" so it could be the fragrance is 0.1% of the product, or not. It doesn't matter really, I suppose. This product uses a fragrance that isn't technically listed on the product page at the time of this review, and though it's not like all fragrances are bad, this one is weird. My boyfriend put a little on hands and rubbed it in his beard and got all grumpy. If he were less manly I suspect he might have gagged, but he sure made a face. He said it smelled like "cheap cologne mixed with flowers". I grabbed the bottle and smelled it and I thought it smelled like a mix of a light man's scent and then a strong whiff of the floral smell of one of my hair care products called "Biosilk".Now, I love Biosilk, but it is not a manly scent. And though I certainly don't begrudge a man who likes feminine things, I don't know why "Mr. Rugged Bold Beard Oil" smells heavily of floral. It doesn't seem congruent to me.Bottom line:You may like this as a beard oil but I can't tell you anything about how it works as a beard oil because 1.) I DON'T HAVE A BEARD MYSELF! (I know, right? So sad!) and also because 2.) the bottle can be leaky and 3.) Mr. Rugged Beard Oil uses a funky-floral fragrance that prevented my boyfriend from using but a tiny bit of it, before he grumped off to go play with his camera in a swirl of flowers and manly indignance stating, "Return it! It was leaking anyway! NO! I don't want an exchange. Yes, please get the other one again."So, upon his recommendation for beard oil function/scent, etc. please consider trying: Natural Man Bay Lime Beard Oil 4 Ounce - All Natural Beard Conditioner By Botanical Skinworks I happen to think it smells fantastic, too. It's a tiny bit citrusy with lime, dashed with bay rum (a classic man's scent) and yummy sandalwood.

... popular Beard Oil was backordered and it was a good price for the volume
I bought this because the more popular Beard Oil was backordered and it was a good price for the volume. I looked at the ingredients and this product was a very close match. Something is off, however. My beard stays oily not for a few hours, but pretty much ALL day. Anything that touches my face will get oil on it. I've been told by a friend that the other brand soaks in after only a couple of hours. The dispenser also leaks. It was shipped to me covered in oil and the label was pealing off because of it. The pump dispensers seems like a great idea, but if you want more oil after already having it on your hands, it requires both hands to hold and pump. The eyedropper of the other brand is the way to go.Edit: I received the other Beard Oil and it is definitely better. After an hour and not still greasy, and the bottle does not leak. I recently flew with the Bold Beard Oil and luckily thought to put it in a ziploc bag, because plenty had leaked out of it.

I thought the product was too good to be true
Personally, I thought the product was too good to be true... but I was wrong... it's AMAZING! I mean, in all honesty,-- and I'm a very careful person especially when it comes to ma beard!-- I thought the product was just another disappointment, especially, for the price I got it for ($11). I have had my beard for sometime now and I have used other beard oils and well, most of them left my beard too perfumed with a bad itchy chin. --but maybe it was because I have sensitive skin. Anyways, the product came and I tried it on. After a nice shower, I applied three drops onto my hand, rubbed and placed it on ma beard... and honestly, there was a big difference. In short, my beard was much softer, not too scented, and no itch! However, the product is a bit oily so don't use more than two drops. I used only two drops and it did the job.Ultimately, I've been using this product for about a week now and my beard is looking better, so, If you find yourself under the same situation (or worst) try the product of Mr. Rugged Beard Oil Conditioner, believe me you wont regret it. Thanks Mr. Rugged... later's peeps!

I must say it is very good. A small amount truly goes a long way
As probably the 10th beard oil I've tried, I must say it is very good. A small amount truly goes a long way, and the container seems to be solid enough to travel with (and is made of plastic, so no fear of breakage).
