So far the best glue gun I've owned.
I've bought a lot of craft glue guns from Walmart over the years, and they would leak profusely and used such small glue sticks that I was constantly having to feed them into the gun. This glue gun performs so much better, has very little glue leakage, and uses large glue sticks. It's made crafting so much less of a headache when hot glue is needed, and if anything happens to the one I have, I'd gladly repurchase this one again. A great product for any crafter or anyone who needs a quick fix at home.

can't use case
I used to have a glue gun with a case and loved that I could keep everything together and neat, so I was excited to see that this one came with a long narrow nozzle and a case. However, I quickly found out that the case doesn't work after you have used the gun. There is no room for the glue to stick out the back. I did manage to pull out the stick once but that did not have very good results. It was very hard to reinsert that glue stick later. Also if you have installed the long nozzle (the one I need most often), it won't fit in the case.I am used to the glue guns that come either for high temp glue sticks or low temp. The low temp have the annoying habit of getting too soft at room temp so I have always stuck to the high temp guns and gule sticks. But most guns now list two wattages instead of temps. There used to be dual temp guns that could use either the low temp sticks or high depending on how you set the gun.I thought that this was similar, just calling it something different. But I am not sure that is the case. The paperwork said that the difference was to control the flow of glue. That the high wattage was to give you more glue faster. There was nothing about using high or low temp sticks.I started using it at the high setting but next time used the low setting and found that for small craft projects that was fine. I still don't know if it has anything to do with whether I'm using low or high temp glue. So far I am still using the sticks that came with the gun.The stand gets locked under the trigger when in the unused position. So it needs to be put down while the gun is still cold. When the gun is cold, you can't really depress the trigger, so you sort of depress it and then force the stand over it.Unlike my previous glue guns (I've owned a few with interchangeable tips) I had a few problems changing the tips on this one. The first time I must have taken it off too soon as I could not get it back on right the next time. The glue was hardened and in the way of my screwing the tip on far enough. I had been using it for a time and wondering why I was getting globs of glue in odd spots when I realized that it was not screwed on tight enough and was actually leaking glue from around the nozzle. I can not get the glue that dripped off of the glue gun itself. All in all I think it will work out ok. I'm just disappointed about not being able to keep it in the case unless I have the short nozzle on and no glue stick hanging out the back.

Very nice, very easy to use
I am incredibly impressed with this glue gun. It is very sturdy, and has switch for going from 60W to 100W and a good explanation of when to use what setting. FYI 60W for a smaller, controlled stream for small repairs etc and 100W for larger, faster flow for gluing larger things like wood pieces. It heats up quickly and has indicator light so you see it is plugged in (no burns grabbing it wrong). It comes with an extra nozzle and tool to switch them out. Extra nozzle is a long, thin one to apply your glue very precisely into very small areas.I used it very very successfully for the first time yesterday. I had ordered my second bamboo two tier shelf for my plants. It was cheap but the first one proved nice and sturdy so I got another (see pic). The second one came with one of the slatted shelves broken apart. All it was was strips of wood like pick up sticks!! I busted out my glue gun and went to town and boy did it work!! And the kit comes with white nylon gloves and a package of orange finger cots - nitrile ginger covers, like a ginger cut off a glove. Works great, I tend to get glue all over my hands smoothing beads, wiping ooze etc. Glued the shelf all together and dried in minutes. I was very impressed in the ease of use and effectiveness. The kit comes in a nice black hard case with snap latches. You get the gun with the regular nozzle, the pinpoint nozzle and tool, White nylon gloves, finger cots, instruction leaflet, and big bag of long glue sticks. The ones you buy tend to be much shorter, so these will last you awhile. I am more than happy with my gun.

Comes as a complete kit
I dont say this very often ,but it's time to say it again. I'm super happy with my purchase & I must say very impressed with the quality of all the items included at a very reasonable price. You get the gun,20 full size sticks, extra tip for hard to get to places w/ wrench, really nice (mouse pad) to put your gun on & protect the surface your using as a work surface, and a case to carry everything. Just got it today and already fixed a few things. Used it on metal to plastic, wood to wood, & wood & metal to fiberglass .all sticks very well. Oh I forgot you also get a pair of gloves and 10 fingertip covers, which I highly recommend using. As I got some of the melted glu on a unprotected finger and yes it hurt, so please be careful . I did use it on some really thin foam and it did just what I thought. Melted a hole but I admit operator error I should have put it on the lower setting, but it was a scrap piece so no buggy. I am a hobbiest and build & fly RC airplanes . I'm pretty sure this will be one of my favorite tools. I have only one regret ,that is waiting so long before I bought one of these.

Good Value
What a handy tool. I keep a list in the bag that the glue sticks are in. It's a list of items I've used the glue gun for: three plastic ice trays that had cracks, a plastic cutting board missing three "feet" (I made little "forms" for that), the cracked bottom of a plastic rain guage, and several others. The gun seems good for its price and the dual wattage range is handy. I imagine that the 100W setting makes the glue so hot that it melts the surface of plastic items you're gluing. Improved bonding, if so.
