Senior Fitness (for Men Over 60): Exercises and Workout Routines for Looking 10 Years Younger and Feeling Stronger than Ever (Illustrated & Large Print)

Decent pep talk, but little actual focus on seniors
This was one of three similarly-priced books I ordered on exercise for seniors. I was already familiar with strength training technique, so I wanted a refresher specific to older adults. I did not find it here. The 138 pages seemed a bit thin, then I opened it to find it features very large print (for old eyes, maybe?), so it distills down to more like 100 normal pages. Little in the book is actually specific to the older reader, mostly rehashing basics that would apply to any age. It presents a lot of one-size-fits-all generalities, some of it questionable. For instance, he tells you to "replenish your electrolytes by drinking plenty of water."The author offers no credentials to substantiate his authority, beyond wanting to write the book. For something with inherent risks if done improperly, I'd rather trust my well-being to a professional than a layman. The book's main strength is as a pep talk for those with no idea where to start. But if I am invested enough to be buying fitness books, do I really need ten pages explaining that Stallone, Schwarzenegger and other celebrities remain fit in their senior years? That's a big chunk of an already-lightweight book.So if you are a rank beginner, you might find this book useful. But there are other books out there for seniors that better provide a more comprehensive introduction for the same price.

Really great fitness summary for seniors
The book is a great manual for getting into and maintaining fitness throughout the senior years. Strongly recommend. Treats novice to advanced seniors equally.

The chapters and pages were totally out of sequence.
I was disappointed with this book because it focused on basic things we already know and the pages and chapters were all out of sequence. Very disappointing.. I would not recommend this book.

Not worth the money!
One of the worst books I've ever read. Look around for something better. It sucks !
