this is not a healthy product
The package says no preservatives but it does indeed have TBHQ. This preservative is usually associated with BHT and is dangerous. Apparently this item can't be returned. I will not be putting this product in my body

Best dried refried beans
I purchased the product based on reviews and they were right. These are the best tasting dried refrieds ever. I have tried other brands and I will only order Casa Corona from now on. Use a little less water than the directions.

OMG these beans are good and fast and easy
I am picky about refried beans. I like mine with onions and bacon grease (sorry) that is what makes them good to me. So these cook in less than 5 minutes, I add chopped onion and 1 teaspoon of bacon grease and cumin and they taste just like the real deal. Even better with some melted cheese on top . I can eat a bean roll for dinner and be totally happy. Now they are out of stock , so I guess others like them as much as I do. Very good , quick , easy and delicious. I promise a little dab of bacon grease in the water makes them sooo good!

Good staple for the pantry.
It's always nice to have something quick and easy in the pantry. These dehydrated beans are perfect for me as I can make just what I need and that eliminates waste. The texture is good. I did find this product a bit bland but with some spices and maybe some cheese, along side some rice, it's all good. Worth the money. I have no complaints.

way better than canned
I don't know what it is about the canning process that fouls the flavor of re-fried beans but they dry ones are definitely better, though three times the cost. I eat them at home all the time but it's a bonus that they are great for camping.

Refried Beans, 10 minutes or less
These beans are great! Equal parts beans to water, as the package instructs, is a little soupy for my taste, but this isxeasily corrected by either cooking longer, or using less water. Experiment with your proportions and make them exactly as you like. I add some dried jalapenos and dried minced onion into the cook pot, and couldn't be happier.

YUM!
These are tasty & easy to prepare. A ratio of 2 cups beans to 2 cups water works for me. The beans do look watery when cooking, but they do thicken up. I would purchase these again.
