great quality power ball from nsd
You get what you pay for when you buy a gyro ball from either nsd or dynaflex. this is great quality, beware of the cheap knockoffs out there. Amazon has the best price for this particular model. if you've never used one of these, there is a technique to using it. the best way to describe is when you do it right it should feel like the resistance of mixing cake or cement. that is how you increase the rpm of the ball and light up the leds. I highly recommend this for stress relief to wrist workout to physical therapy/rehab for hand or grip issues.

A must have for carpal tunnel.
Shipping took a while, but I am very pleased with it. It came with two starter strings, which nice. However, after watching a video on YouTube, I learned how to rev this puppy up using just my thumb. It certainly lives up to the hype and is a major workout. I initially bought to help alleviate the troubles with my carpal tunnel in my wrists, but not I use it when I bored and reading. I took one-star away because the display is fairly useless. The buttons require decent pressure to push, but it is hard to when the Spinner is spinning. In the end, I don't even bother with the display. I could have saved some money and bought one without it. Still, at the core, this is a nice little fitness gadget that has strengthened my wrists and forearms.

Fun science toy
Honestly, I bought it as a science toy! A gyroscope that does not need a motor and keeps spinning - amazing. It took me a frustrating hour to get the spinning technique, and then only after my more coordinated girlfriend was able to spin it on the third pull and show me how.The cord seems sufficient as a starter once you get the hang of it; motor and springs might be excess complications. With refined technique, it can even be started by rolling on the hand. For geeks among us, there are several physics papers online that thoroughly analyze the spinner's dynamics. Fascinating!

Cord Slipped, Spinner Broke
Ordered this after a friend recommended it to me. Opened it up, and on the third try, I pulled the cord to start the gyro action, the cord slipped out of the channel, and I heard a grinding noise. On the fourth try, the gyro would no longer spin smoothly and sounded like it was grinding against something. Had to return to amazon. The channel the cord gets wrapped in should be a bit deeper, as it is too easy for it to fall to the side and get wrapped around the spinning mechanism. I'm sure if you are extremely careful with it, this may not happen, but I will not be ordering another one.

I carry it everywhere I go now for a nice 5 minute workout when I have a little spare ...
Since purchasing and using this Fusion Spinner for my first week, I have noticed that my forearms are clearly more defined than before and my grip is much stronger too. I carry it everywhere I go now for a nice 5 minute workout when I have a little spare time. And depending on the kind of motion you use, you can work your Biceps, Triceps and even parts of your shoulder. I would highly recommend this exercise item for an effective workout of the hand, arm and shoulder workout when you can't get to a gym right away.

Good! Can feel the burn.
This is a good product. I owned one in the past but accidentally broke it when I dropped it :( I thought the price was a little high but it does what it is supposed to. It takes some time for new people to learn how to use it but once you get the hang of it, it is easy to start.

Has a short useable life.
Prior reviews state this is a a good product, but wears out surprisingly fast. I agree. I bought as a wrist exerciser after wrist surgery. Great concept. The warranty has lapsed after 2 months. Probably an hour total time (you can only keep it going a minute or two at a time). The mechanism is worn out, just as stated by other reviewers. I have to get another but will go for one with a better set of bearings

Spinner great, display didn't function.
The spinner works great and the lights light up. It only took a few times to figure out how to start it by hand. The LCD display didn't work out of the box, and I might return it to Amazon if the manufacturer doesn't get back to me about a battery replacement.
