Outstanding quality
Regarding the previous review which stated "It was so dry that I could hear the rock-hard wood filler rattling inside the plastic container as I opened the box. It seems that there are quality control and consistency problems with this product.", I'd like to point out that the dry tub had a green top. I suspect that this was old product - so old that it was from a prior tub design generation. If the product had been sitting on the retailer's shelf for years - I wouldn't expect it to be workable. Perhaps the quality control issue is with the reseller, not the manufacturer.

Fills the Holes and Cracks!
I refinished my wood deck and countersunk all the nails which left obvious holes. There were also a bunch of fine cracks that come with age on pressure treated wood where there is sun exposure. I purchased Famowood based upon a review I read and was very pleased with the product. I had used Elmers in the past which works well but Famowood was much easier to apply and sand down. I used a solid stain on the deck and Famowood colour was a close match although it does lighten up with sanding. However, it accepted the stain without issue and matched perfectly. Now my deck looks brand new with no evidence of nails or cracks.

Great Stuff for Outside Work
Used this to repair some holes in pressure treated steps and it worked as advertised. If you are staining over it try to get a color close to your stain color and it will cover better. Dries quickly and is easy to sand. Worth the money.

Not so bad
This wood filler is okay. I bought the walnut color but it's way darker. Better darker than lighter though. It dries very hard which is good and bad. Very hard to sand on corners so make sure you wipe off excess as much as you can before it dries. After it dries, it would take some time to dissolve in water. It's a good strong putty but not so easy to work with or to clean. Light colors would barely take stain.Shallow holes would dry very fast.

just what the doc ordered
Good product. Easy spread and sand. Accepted stain. However once stained it was quite a bit darker but not too dark for what I needed. As far as durability it is too early to tell perhaps I'll do an update after we've gone through the winter.

Quality results
Wood filler works well and seems durable. The color does not exactly match walnut, but it is close.

Shrunk
Got this wood filler because of the ratings and because it's supposed to be made with real wood. It didn't in lay way match the walnut color of the wood I was using it on and didn't accept the stain like the wood I was working on either. I finally got it close enough in color actually painting the filler with a tiny brush. I finally got it the color that I could live with. Then it it shrunk leaving the indentations where the screw holes were and I had to start all over!I would 't buy this product again. I'd have been much better off sanding the wood, gather the sawdust and mixing it with wood glue then filling the holes.I'm giving this 3 stars because it was soft and easy to use - not because it worked like I wanted.

Drawback
It is an excellent material, works well, but the only drawback is; It's small, but I need a lot more
