As usual, a great knife, well built, top of the line
I have several Victorinox SAK for various purposes. This one is a EDC for 'non-work' days. It's big enough to be useful - the scissors are the best on any pocket carry knife/tool IMHO. The tools are sturdy and useful, well designed. They can be a bit hard to open - recommend using some oil when you get yours. The hardest is the 'parcel hook' - I'm lazy to I use the tweezers when I need to open that, which is not often (but I really like having the tool when I need it). The lifetime warranty is great, I've sent some SAKs back and had them come back in almost new condition. Hard to find this kind of service and quality in other brands, even the American ones.

My favorite EDC tool!
I use this about every single day for one reason or another. Knives likely get the most use as you could expect but the variety of tools in this one really cover all I need in my day to day life. Th scissors are super handy to have and work great. And of course the bottle opener and corker when the days over.Never leave the house without it. Great purchase

Original item, good quality
Good quality, delivery a little slower than expected, but worth it. It is as good as expected. not a thick as a 4 layer, and durable. perfect for EDC.

Best Overall Swiss Army Knife!
I did a lot of research into the different types of Swiss Army knives to see which one I would use the most. I originally bought the Pioneer Alox Silver knife because I liked that its the same model that the actual Swiss Army soldiers used from the 60's up till now. This knife is almost exactly the same as the Spartan in terms of size. It's big and has two slots with tools. The Pioneer comes with a large blade, can opener with screwdriver, bottle opener with screw driver and sharp pointed edge for poking holes.I was pleased with the knife since it looks classy but I wanted something that was more useful for everyday use. I like the Spartan because its identical to the original Swiss knife, but I wanted to look further. I stumbled onto so many different models for a variety of uses. Tools such as the wood saw, pliers, magnifying glass for instance I found that I don't use everyday. Plus I found that its better to use other more sturdier tools than a knife if you want to use pliers. The more tools make these knives too bulky and not ideal for carrying everywhere.I wanted something simple, yet eclectic. I have a minichamp, which is great because it has tools like scissors, an orange peeler and a pen. But I found that I use scissors a lot. Finally, I noticed the Climber and after much comparison, I decided its the best one for ME. Why? Because its not too bulky first off. It only has 3 slots for tools, making it slightly thicker than the Spartan but not as bulky as the Explorer. It has scissors which are perfect in size. It's essentially like the Spartan but with the added scissors and parcel carrier(which I find to be useless for most cases). And honestly this is all you need unless you need to cut wood or watch insects from up close with a magnifying glass. This is perfect for the urban gentleman. Some would prefer the Tinker because they find the separate philips screwdriver more useful than the corkscrew. Well fear not because the can opener, which comes on almost all swiss knives, has a screwdriver at the tip that's perfect for even the smallest Philips heads. The the extra room for a large philips screwdriver is useless because you already have a tool for that. Plus the corkscrew is useful in party type situations. So pick this over the Tinker. For those who want something more compact, try out the Compact model. This knife has only two slots but has almost everything including scissors. However, this knife consolidates the can opener and bottle opener. The catch? The tool is very thin and the tip isn't good for Philips screws, only good for flat heads. Also, there is no small blade. For those who don't care for the corkscrew or scissors, get the Pioneer. Why? Because its essentially the same model used by Swiss soldiers and it looks classy. Additionally, the large blade is much bigger than the large blade of regular swiss knives. But I recommend the Climber 100%. You even have more color options to choose from with this model. I would go with the classic red, that way everyone knows you're holding an awesome Swiss Army Knife. Happy shopping!

My current EDC multitool and an excellent starting point for anyone getting into the hobby
I carry the Swiss Army Climber model with me practically everywhere since I've purchased it and have never had any problems with it. I chose the black handled model since I've only owned ones with red handles up until now and figured I needed a change of pace, and I must say that it's a very handsome look combined with the stainless steel. The scissors, tweezers, and flathead screwdriver are probably my most used tools asides from the blades, but I've used the awl on my Camper model without issue in the past and am confident the same will be true with the Climber.Really the only differences between this model and the Huntsman is the absence of a saw and lack of corresponding weight and thickness as a result. I've only ever found myself in a single situation out in the sticks with my Camper model where I ever made use of the saw in my 2+ years of owning and using that model as my EDC multitool, so the lack of one on the Climber really doesn't bother me and I doubt the majority of people buying a Swiss Army Knife will ever be venturing out that far and need to make use of such a small saw. Overall I would say this is probably one of the best all around models for 90% of people looking for a Swiss Army knife but don't know what to choose as a starting point.
