Yurbuds IRONMAN Workout Sport Earphones with Cloth Cord - Red/Black [frustration free packaging]

When I received these earphones, I was not impressed. I bought from a cheap source but got only the earphones with no extra in ear buds. I should have read the product description more carefully. Having used in-ear phones for years and needing to try various different size adapters to get a decent fit I was not expecting to achieve a good fit. I have always had trouble with earphones staying in place when I work out due to sweat and rapid movement. My last earphones were Ultimate Ears Superfi 5 which claimed to stay put during exercise. The 5's did stay put until I worked up a sweat then they required constant adjustment no matter what size sleeves I used.Now, one month in, I can say these earphones stay put. I have not lost them once. It is more likely they will pull free from an MP3 player than pull out of my ears. Further, they are comfortable to wear for extended periods which was another surprise. My 5s had very soft silicone sleeves but still occasionally irritated my ears. These do not irritate at all. It may be that the way they stay fixed in the ear also lessens the irritation.I got the model with cloth covered cables in the hope that they will be more durable. My 5's had replaceable cables and they needed to be replaced. The Yurbuds do not have replaceable cables but they cost me one dollar more than the 5's replacement cables. I can't say if durability is increased. What I can say is that somehow the cloth does decrease tangles. My 5's almost always needed to be untangled to use and required tedious unraveling. The Yurbuds rarely tangle and untangling them requires little more than shaking the cables. This is just amazing to me and I cannot understand how this magic works but it does.All I can say about the sound that they are heavier in bass than my UE Superfi 5's. The other sound difference is that sound isolation is less than the 5's which makes my significant other happy.I would definitely get these againPros:Stay put in the ear in the most active workouts.Tangle resistant cordcomfortable and not irritating in earcheapRed--ugly, but I can always find them in my bag.ConsNo extra buds or other accessories from this source.

I sweat. A lot. When I'm running further than 5 miles, even these things get lubricated and loosen, then fall out. My solution: run the cord down my back, and tie the left and right cords to my hat or back collar. I have one shirt with a headphone hole that makes this easy. Another favorite shirt - I had to snip a small hole in the collar area. This works beautifully for over 26 miles, and my ears aren't sore like they were with other buds.

The product is as described. Packaging could be better, I understand that it is "frustration free", but when it's being shipped with other items, it shouldn't be squashed between other products. Luckily, this is a durable product and survived transport. They stay in without a problem. They get 4 stars, as opposed to 5, because putting something that far into your ear is kinda strange and an uncomfortable sensation. You do get used to it, but regular earbuds and over the ear headphones are still the preferred method. This is an amazing product for the gym.

Good sound at a reasonable price. And, the wires rarely tangle even wadded up in my gym bag. When they do, they easily untangle. The fit in the ear (for me) is somewhat of a challenge. I have to fiddle with them to remain in my ear or they will fall out easily. It's almost as if I have to place them and twist them somewhat to get them to stay. Still, a fair price for a fair product.

My daughter loved the sound in these, and the cloth cords are sturdy. She also loved the fit of the covers in her ears for working out. Unfortunately the covers stretch out and fall off, which means eventually getting lost. The replacements are unreasonably expensive. She has lost two sets now, not replacing them again. Her boyfriend had the same experience with his, and then one side went completely dead. Hopefully they will improve them, would like to buy them again.

I didn't read the description fully ... this seller is literally selling only the headphones you see vs. ordering these from YurBuds or an original supplier where you get the zipper case (not a big deal) and the extra earplugs (kind of a big deal). Oh well the price was right and if it's too good to be true ...Good news is that they are actually real Yurbuds.

I had a pair of these for a couple of years before they finally bit the dust. I ordered these as a replacement and I have to say that Yurbuds must have changed their formula over the years. The sound quality in these is far better than the last pair of Yurbuds I owned. It's pretty much on par with the standard iPod ear buds. The best thing about these is they're super easy to put in and take out, and will stand up to a run in the rain with out flinching. I use them in the gym and on the road, and I love them!

I rarely if ever write negative reviews, but I have to say that I am EXTREMELY disappointed by these earphones. Despite all the "Developed by athletes for athletes, Sweatproof and water resistant" and "Patented Twist Lock technology" verbiage... I am a very heavy sweater when working out and these *DO NOT STAY IN* my ears. I spend almost my entire workout vainly trying to "twist" them back in. I can feel them slowly sliding out the whole time, which is both distracting and excruciatingly annoying. It's entirely possible that light-to-moderate sweaters could do okay with these. Both for those of us always searching for true "sweatproof" earphones... well, these are not the answer!
