Cool lamp with charger, lightweight, great for astronomy
Pros:-Lightweight! Without (optional) D batteries, the weight of this lantern is exactly 624g (22oz. or 1.375 lbs) according to my scale.-Bright light! Yes, this at default is very very bright, but keep in mind you can dim this light by holding down the power button for a few seconds.-Red light! This is ideal for amateur astronomers, having a good red light lamp is great for preserving your night vision. If you go to any astronomy gatherings, the first rule is no bright lights; so most people will use red lamps like this one.Charging! Having the ability to charge a phone or other devices is also a nice bonus, especially if you are going to be out stargazing for hours. This also came with a USB to micro USB cable in the box, which can be used as an input or output cable for this device.Cons:-A little pricey. There are certainly less expensive options for portable lighting, and I'm not sure if this will hold up and be a better value long term or not.-Not collapsible. I have a few other lamps that collapse down to cover the lighting element. That style prevents dust and debris from accumulating on it and dimming the light. Not a huge deal, just a minor preference. Conclusion:Excellent for astronomy, and pretty good for camping/power-outages/etc. If you live in a hurricane zone, you can never have too many battery powered lights; ESPECIALLY if they also charge your phone a few times. I'm very happy with this so far.*Note - I tried to test this while running away from a Chupacabra as advertised; but he did not chase me as he was too impressed with the red light function during my astrophotography session. He just charged his phone and went on his way.* (If you found this review to be informative and/or helpful, please click "Helpful" to let me know. Thanks! ) *

BRIGHT LIGHT!
Ok I gave it a low rating 2. Brightness a 5!! Lightweight a 5 and value for money is a 4. First off love that it re charges Ok so first time I turned it on I knew Id have a prob with it cause it’s bright,... very bright! Does not have a softener on or around the light source itself so it’s direct light into your eyes! It’s bright! You cannot look direct into it just like a bright flashlight. I’m a fisherman so I carry a backpack (Icemule coolers - The Boss) My fishing rods in both hands and tons of equipment hanging off my backpack. I trek through forest sometimes couple of miles to get to beach front were no one gets to but me 😉, So I need a good light source to get me through a couple mile trek through a forest at night and where I set up camp it’s usually for 2 days. So light sources are my friend at night. So that camping light I bought WAS GREAT HANGING OFF MY BACK PACK WITH MY EYES NEVER LOOKING DIRECT INTO IT. It lit everything up all around me at night period. Full 360 cause it was lantern style. Now on the other hand when I reached the beach, set up camp and lit the camp with that lantern light. Seriously was good bright light, but like I felt at house when I first turned it on it was my eyes getting drawn right to light source. No matter where I was I could see that bright light from the corner of my eyes and definitely cannot look at that direction of it. It needed a softener on there. Now imagine if you had friends or family and you were hanging at the camp. Someone will always be bothered by that bright light depending if your facing it or your back toward it. You understand what I’m saying guys, I hope. So my finally is that’s why I gave it a low star rating. I’m looking into one now with a softener on it. I have an old Coleman’s so I’m good for now 😁

Excellent Lantern. Great Customer Service.
This is my second Internova lantern. My first one was a D-battery model only. This one has both a rechargeable battery as well as the D-battery option. The brightness is excellent, and I like how you can dim the lantern to suit your liking. It can also be used as a power bank to recharge your phone. The customer service is great. I emailed them a question about the maximum input that I can use to recharge the lantern, and they e-mailed me back right away. They were very responsive, unlike other companies like Goal Zero, which has very bad customer service and will not respond to your questions about defective products. On the contrary, Intervine is highly recommended.

Good lantern
This is the third internova lantern and I have purchased. I can honestly say that I have not been disappointed by this company ever. This lantern is very bright and very easy to use and it looks like to me it would be very hard to damage it, of course I have no intention of trying LOL.I was able to charge it in about 2 hours and I used it for two nights straight just to test it. It was on for approximately 5 hour each night and it still does not show any signs of running out of juice.I absolutely recommend this lantern and all of intervine products.

A very bright light for a good price.
I got a really good deal on this and I'm very happy with it. We live in the country with many trees and power is always going out. This stay bright for several while the power was restored and never started going dim. I love the USB power port for charging phones. The one thing people should know is that this light comes on in the dim mode. Simply repress and hold the power button to increasing brightness. You'll see a flash when it reaches maximum brilliance and trust me, it's bright. I suggest looking away while you're doing this.I do wish this and other rechargeable products come with replaceable batteries. Amazon sells many styles of great rechargeable batteries and it would prevent another broken item in the landfill. I'm not saying these aren't, but nothing is obvious as to how to get to them. I have not tried to get to the batteries through unconventional methods. For this reason, I'm dropping the rating to 4 stars.
