This is an updated after use on a couple of paintings: I bought a set of these brushes and 2 brushes that my friend recommended. My friend is a professional painter and uses Silber Ruby Satin brushes so I ordered a #2 and #4 of that brand. After using all of these brushes on a few paintings, I'm ordering 2 more sets of these Artists Specialty Shop brushes. Yes, the Ruby Satin brushes are thicker (so they'll hold more paint), but I can get 24 brushes Artists Specialty Shop brushes for the discount online price of 4 Ruby Satin brushes. And the Artists Specialty Shop quality are really great for the price. After all, you can never have enough brushes :)

This is a great buy! The brushes work like a charm and in the time that I've used them (about a month) they have not lost any bristles or lost their shape. The owner of the company was kind enough to reach out for feedback and genuinely seemed interested in what I had to say. A great buy for the price!

These brushes are the absolute best quality and the price is just the "frosting on the cake". I am always on the quest of finding the best brush for the application, and these are wonderful. Very comfortable to hold, paint adheres nicely, application is smooth and getting them clean is efficient. If I ever needed to buy this type of brushes again, Artists Specialty is the brand that I will seek.Thank you!

I like these. I am a beginner painter so what do I know. But I’m having fun with them. They hold acrylic paint well. They glide well. They clean well. They are cheap and you get a bunch of sizes. Maybe one day I’ll get more expensive brushes and know the difference, but there is nothing bad that I’ve seen.I was kinda nervous buying them without feeling them, but I’m happy I bought them. Oh, and I paid real money for them. I did not get them for free. They are worth the money I spent. I’m glad I took a flier on them. They are soft and spring back. I hope that helps.

Generally these brushes are good. My only negative is that two of the brushes are not set tightly into the holder (can't think of the name for the silver piece that holds the brush to the handle) . So maybe I'll try a pliers to tighten them. Otherwise I'd recommend them. I'm a very beginner water color artist.Here's my update, a little while later --- the supplier contacted me immediately after reading my review here, and wanted to be sure that I was completely satisfied with my purchase. They offered to send me a set of detail brushes to make up for the problem I had with two of the brushes having a somewhat loose ferrules. I just received the new brushes and am very satisfied with their customer service. I could have opted to have the original set replaced (they were momentarily out of stock), but I was fine with their offer. I have upgraded my rating to 5 stars.I highly recommend this company and these brushes. Bravo!

I am a novice artist who just signed up for a watercolor class. The brushes arrived quickly and seem to be very sturdy. These brushes have very long handles and have flat bristles. Unfortunately, at the first class I learned that I needed round brushes that were also smaller in size and probably with shorter handles. Nevertheless, I will keep these brushes for when I need to apply large amounts of color on a large area as when filling in a sky, etc. The four small plastic palettes were great.

These brushes are a great deal given their quality. they hold paint well & are very smooth and and make controlling the stroke very easy. Nice set. Good quality.Is great price for those many brushes.The bristles stayed in place and didn't split when painting. And it got back to the same shape as new after using them.
