Good little activity tracker with below average build quality.
PROS: Accurate with the step counting. Much less sensitive than a Fitbit Charge 2. Wearing a Garmin Vivosmart 3 while driving during a 15 min car trip resulted in 5 to 15 extra steps while the Charge 2 would log an extra 50-100 steps for the same car trip. The app, though not as robust as the Fitbit, was full of helpful info, able to customize and adjust to see what you wanted. The silent wake up alarm is a nice feature as is the low battery indicator. Fast recharge, usually 1hr to fully recharge battery.CONS: Display can be hard to see in direct sunlight. The build quality, specifically the strap, is not well made. App can sometimes be finicky to connect via bluetooth and takes a few attempts to connect. Battery life is average. Usually lasts 4 days with 1 hr of exercise use each day before needing to recharge.Purchased in May 2017. I pretty much wore it everyday and would only remove when showering, lifting weights since I didn't want to damage it on a bar, or needing to recharge battery. Never dropped, nor do I participate in full contact sports. I mainly jog, walk and occasionally lift weights 3 to 4x a week. About 5 months in I noticed one day while connecting the tracker to the charger to recharge, the strap had become loose and was close to falling off completely. I included a picture to show what I am talking about. This was on both ends. I started to look online into buying a replacement strap when I discovered that this particular model of Garmin's activity trackers did not have that option.I contacted Garmin directly and they confirmed that the strap on the Vivosmart 3 was indeed not interchangeable. My unit was still under warranty and they promptly sent me a replacement unit after I sent my unit back. I did have to pay for the shipping cost to send it them but they sent overnight my replacement as soon as they received my old unit, free of charge. It's now almost 2 months in with the replacement unit and the strap is again starting to show signs of it falling apart. Unfortunately Garmin told me that the warranty is only good for 1 replacement and there is nothing they can do. I will be trying to fix it with some glue and hope it keeps it together. Aside from the strap issues, I do like the tracker. App is easy to use and the functionality of the device is great. I would easily have given 5 stars if not for the strap problems.UPDATE: March 2018, The glue attempt did not last. The strap continued deteriorating and finally got so bad that I could no longer wear it. I will hesitate buying Garmin products in the future.

Band only lasted FOUR months before breaking.
I've loved the vivosmart 3 band I've used it for runs and tracking weight reps as well as just my daily steps and wear it almost every hour of every day. But for a product that tracks everything including sleep that is waterproof for showers and has no replaceable band you would think that it'd last longer then FOUR months! The interface on both the watch face as well as in the App I have loved and easy to use and see your stats. I use Strava a lot to share with a few friends and my wife as we run and go biking and it has integrated with that beautifully it even loads a few things on there that I wasn't expecting to track like long walks through a store.Great device poor design with the band. Don't BUY!

this is the first one that I definetely don't recommend for anyone
Well... I have 5 Garmin products and have had problems with some of them before, however, this is the first one that I definetely don't recommend for anyone, here is why:- After around 3 months of normal use the loop that closes the strap broke- the strap itself is very fragile, it broke without any major accident/force- THERE IS NO REPLACEMENT STRAP.. just search Amazon and Google- So you end up with a useless watch missing a US$ 1 loop or a US$ 5 strap that don't exist- To repair you have to pay 1/3 of the product value to Garmin and send them the watchI cannot recommend a product that, despite its pros, became useless unless I pay 1/3 of its value for a US$ 1 repair...And trust me... the strap is fragile and WILL break sooner than you think with normal use.

Very poorly made NOT RECOMMENDED
The image is the SECOND Vivosmart 3 that I have had the strap simply snap while wearing. The first failed after 3 weeks of normal use (as in 66 yo retiree with sedentary lifestyle) . Extended "warranty" is worthless as this only kicks in AFTER the manufacturer's warranty so I had to go thru the legwork of warranty paperwork. At this point I want my money back ("Good luck with that, pal!"). This thing should never have been sold by Amazon. Period.

Not Durable. Not worth it.
I will not recommend this model or brand. Especially dont recommend buying on Amazon India. We bought two watches in February last year and the strap of this model is not at all durable. The straps on both started to tear after 6-8 months of use. One of the straps has come off completely and the watch is of course unwearable. And our watches are still under the 1 year warranty, they are still under 1 year old. And already a waste. The customer care here in Delhi have told us the warranty will not apply because these watches were bought on Amazon India and they were imported by Amazon. Warranty applies only on the Garmin devicea bought in physical stores. The straps can be repaired but will cost a hefty 7.5K INR. While the watch itself is 9k! Such a waste of money! Not at all recommended. Do not buy Garmin Vivosmart 3.

Happy with product. Nice product
It is really nice product. Using it since last 4 months. Feels nice to wrist. Lightweight. Battery last for 5 days once fully charged. It takes about 2 hours to full charge. It records sleep perfectly. One thing I love about this band is, if you are at same place for too long, it will vibrate and say “move”. So that you realise that u have been idle since long time. Some issues with step counting and stair counting. It counts stair even when I ride bike at some slope. Sometime it calculate steps even when I am in bus or on bike. But, I think this issue is in every fitness band with this price range. There are many functionalities as well here, like counting reps, stopwatch, toner... etc.Overall I am very happy with this product.

Empezo a fallar demasiado rapido

Disappointing product and No after sale service.
No after sale service was provided by Garmin.Company said I have bought it from United States while I had ordered it from Amazon India. I could not follow up with the complaint due to lack of time. Felt cheated by Amazon India and Garmin.I would request Amazon not to cheat (even unknowingly) your customers like this. It proved to be a very wrong decision to buy this product. The screen is probably made of low grade plastic and prone to scratches and cuts. The band itself broke within 6-7 months of use. The product is highly expensive and not worth the price. I would discourage anyone planning to biy this product. The Pros.1. It is waterproof.2. Battery life is satisfactory. The cons and the list is long.1. Not worth the price. Highly expensive.2. Not durable. The screen attracts scratches and is delicate.3. Not as attractive as fitbit and all.4. The accessories repplacements are way too expensive.5. I got a faulty product and there was no option of replacement.6. No after sale service.I regretting my decision to buy the product.
