Knorr Homestyle Stock Chicken Concentrated Broth, Chicken 4.66 oz, 8 Count

I love love love this product! I make a lot of homemade soups and this concentrate is something I add every time! I use chicken or bone broth as the base for the soup and add this to bring out the depth and richness in flavor. I keep both the chicken and beef ones on hand at all times and use them for soups and roasts and sauces. They bring out a robust flavor without that saltiness you get from many of the concentrates or bullions. You will love this!

This product is perfect for cooking. I love the quick and easy way to open and use it. The flavor is great -- the only thing is the salt is strong in it. Perfect small packages so there's no waste and storage of the others is a breeze.

I am in the process of a Ketosis / intermittent based health intervention. In searching for something warm and satisfying with little compromise bullion became an obvious solution. The challenge is getting a deep rich broth with a reasonable amount of sodium. A double portion of a salted product was flavorful however way too salty. The low / no salt options were flavorless with no salt. So I find deep satisfaction with combining a half container of this Knorrr Homestyle Stock bullion with a salt-less packet of Herbox sodium free bullion or a spoonful of Massel reduced sodium stock powder to achieve a tremendously satisfying sipping broth. I will definitely be purchasing this regularly!

I discovered these little blobs of goodness here on Amazon a while back. Not sure why, but none of my grocers carry them. I make at least one pot of soup a week, many times several pots. These provide such a rich chicken flavor to my broth and are so easy to use. I use a 6qt Instant Pot and drop 3 of these in along with seasoned chicken and veggies, then fill with water. Perfect every time! I'm going to try and use them in pan sauces as well.

I waited months for this product to be back in stock, finally, in August I was able to buy both chicken and beef stocks.I did make one mistake though. I failed to check for expiration dates on the packages after receipt. So, I'm making soup today and as I pulled my secret weapon out of the pantry (which is this stock), I noticed that it had expired over two months BEFORE being shipping to me. I'm not happy about this but thankfully I had another package that doesn't expire until mid-2021.My advice - Check your expiration dates upon receipt. Personally, since this product had been out of stock for months, I never dreamed I would have to do that.

These are really convenient and tasty. As with the Knorr beef concentrate, the jelly-like composition and the high concentration of the stock take a little getting used to - you just cannot believe that that tiny little tub is going to be enough. Until it dissolves and spreads around, it looks also like little yellowish clumps of goo; luckily, that is only temporary. If you are not using a whole tub, leave what you didn't use in the tub and place it into a small reusable plastic container; it will keep in the refrigerator for a while.I have read that this makes a wonderful rub for chicken to boost the poultry flavor but that is not my experience. It is hard to rub into or onto the chicken and just balls up and rolls off, nine times out of ten. If I want to boost the poultry flavor, i.e. not using sage, thyme, cumin, or tarragon, I use Podravka Vegeta powder. It spreads easily and adds a nice background without MSG. I found that this is better to dissolve into water to make a liquid stock or broth for soups and sauces than on its own.

I was pleasantly surprised. The description was not clear on exactly what I was getting. I ordered two of the eight packs. Each eight pack contains eight of the four packs of the stock gels. I am unable to find these locally and when I could I paid $4 or more per single 4 count box. This is a steal.

This product tastes like good rich homemade chicken stock! There are four little tubs of concentrated broth in each package, and each tub yields almost as much broth as in a carton, and it takes up way less space in the cupboard than a carton. I can freeze it for longevity, it's always handy to make soups, gravies, sauces, etc. It makes my cooking easier and better!
