I do a lot of baking and candy making during the holidays so I use a lot of pure flavorings and extracts. This almond extract is a favorite at my house. Excellent quality and a great value. I like the 8 oz size and the flip up cap makes it easier to measure the exact amount each time. Plus the extra protective seal is reassuring that the product is fresh. 👍

I bought this to make homemade ice cream in my ice cream machine. This is pretty good and easy to add into a simple ice cream base to get a unique flavor. It doesn’t fully taste of pumpkin spice, not much pumpkin lots of spice.

I usually prefer to use non-name brand items because they’re more affordable and there tends to be not much difference in quality, but McCormick spices and especially their flavorings are exceptions to the rule. The McCormick butter flavoring, and the McCormick almond flavoring simply cannot be substituted for something else, There is worlds of difference in the McCormick flavorings and the generics. A pound cake with McCormick almond flavoring and sliced almonds sprinkled all over the top is delectable. An angel food cake mix with added McCormick almond flavoring makes it a step above. I have tried other brands of butter flavoring, and you simply could not tell what the flavoring was, but it definitely did not have the flavor of butter. McCormick butter flavoring simply cannot be substituted with any other brand.
