Aluminum heatsink for PCIe NVMe M.2 2280 SSD with Nano-Silicone Thermal pad DIY Notebook Memory CoolerFirst, No instructions. Which thermal pad goes where... Assembly of unit will cause bowing resulting in poor thermal contact. Screws go in sideways causing bowing and distortion of the heatsink. The silicone rubber band version heatsinks are even worse. Maybe just use mini stick-on heatsinks like the type for a Raspberry PI if you have the room and don't mind the SSD label sticking to the heatsink... much better thermal solution!

COOL ITEM
My NVME is just below CPU socket and would normally be cooled by the CPU fan but I watercool so I added this. As an A+ tech I understand how this works and believe it has lowered the ssd temperatures. I did not measure anything but adding a finned heatsink where there is some airflow should drop the temps of the treated object. Nice looking too.

Includes the wrong screws
As others have mentioned, i received the product and got most of the way through the install to find that the included screws are so badly mismatched that they won't even stay in the screw holes, let alone fasten it to the NVME drive.

Check that the included screws are long enough before installing
I'd give 5 out of 5 stars, but I had to knock it down one because I ordered 2 of these and one came with the completely wrong screws. They didn't reach enough to thread into the aluminum so I had to use two screws off of the first heatsink I had already installed. So now both only have two screws holding them instead of the 4, and some black electrical tape to hold the other screws into place. It works to keep down temperatures. I was just unhappy with getting the wrong screws.

Good Value for the Money
I am not sure why some of the users having an issue with screws are not aligning. This is a simple mechanism and not a rocket science to align all screws. Works perfectly and keeping the drive close to 20C cooler when tested overnight stress run.
