Allegro Coffee Organic Espresso Sierra Ground Coffee, 12 oz

It made a delicious cup of espresso for me this afternoon. Not too bitter, not too oily, perfect crema. Buy it.

I have used this in a french press and the pour-over method. If you need a jolt in the morning without the bitterness of some coffees this is it. I am an Americano and french roast coffee drinker. I don't like burnt coffee beans. You are paying more as its organic. I haven't found anything cheaper that comes close. Watch the expiration date as you only get a few weeks till it expires.

I’m a huge espresso geek and I’ve tried hair bender by stumptown ( yuk) as well as quite a few others. I’m still on the lookout for the best beans and so far these are it. I prefer dark strong beans. I love a smooth but strong coffee. This is the best so far. I always get beans never ground so I can only comment on whole beans. I’ve made it both espresso and drip still the best.

I want to love this. The ground isn't right for an espresso machine. The espresso shot tastes watery if you try and use the grounds as is. They are ground way too coarse. Also the expiration date is January 2023 when we ordered this in November. We hopefully will get through it all before the beans expire.

Good tasting coffee, but the grind is for drip coffee, not espresso which I was expecting based on the title of the product.

I’ve been drinking this coffee for years after reading a review of it in Consumer Reports. It lived up the review for taste and aroma. Worth the cost!
