Trumpeter 1/350 Scale USS Hopper DDG70 Arleigh Burke Class Flight Ila Guided Missile Destroyer

This model has just been released by Trumpeter and as you would expect has fantastic detail. It has parts and decals to allow the modeler to build any flight I or II Arleigh Burke destroyer (DDG) and includes a basic photo-etch set (rails and safety nets). All the new Trumpeter and Dragon sets include this as standard.I tend to build in a slightly different order from the Trumpeter instructions, but they are complete and clear to follow. The color scheme is standard and is included on a separate sheet with a complete table for all the major paint manufacturers.******Since this review is on Amazon I would like to point out that this kit needs gluing and painting in order to be assembled, and to really get its full value, the modeler should be experienced. On the box it states that it is a detailed scale kit for adult collectors to assemble*******I bought this kit to make the DDG-73, USS Decatur, that I saw when I was in Kwajelein Atoll this year, but after learning about Grace Hopper, I will probably leave it as the Hopper

Bought this as a reintroduction to ships for the hobby, this kit has great molding, detail, and a satisfying build. Would highly recommend this for anyone as a starter or a gift.

Beautiful model of the sexiest ship in the Navy! OK, I'm partial because I am a Hopper, but it is a nice kit.
