Excellent product - appropriate packaging & excellent delivery service! I've been using this particular product for the last 3 years, mainly for quilting projects, but also very useful in dressmaking. Great time saver!. Sometimes I use in conjunction with pins when quilting, but mostly used on it's own. This size tin is brilliant! A convenient, useful addition to the sewing room....in my case the kitchen table, & every other available surface! I note that some reviews advise caution where you 'spray', because it leaves a 'sticky residue' on the flat surface your'e using to piece your fabric. I have to say, I've never had this 'problem.' If you do have this concern, use a 'cardboard surround'. it provides a sort of wall, & is easy to model around the area your'e spraying; keep your tin's nozzle focused & [I personally] count 7/8 seconds depending on the area/item your'e basting. Once applied, you can still re position your fabrics, until your'e satisfied. I often 'press' mine as well to make sure surfaces are smooth & no 'dry' spots. So far, I've only used on cotton fabrics, but doesn't affect your sewing machine needle, or a hand stitch. Recommend this product & great delivery.

I was introduced to using 505 at a machine embroidery workshop. I'd previously shied away from using it for fear of gumming up my needles or my hoops, however, I change my needles often enough that it's never been a problem and a quick wipe over with a baby wipe cleans my hoops up nicely. Great low tack adhesive that just helps keep stuff in place until it is stitched. I float everything now and I'm so glad I was persuaded to give it a go.

I use the spray baste for small to medium quilts. It makes it so much faster. I have not used it on large quilts. Do use in well ventilated areas, as it does smell quite strongly. Also don't let the enthusiastic husband help you. You will be cleaning your sewing space for the next week.

this amazing adhesive makes basting a quilt so easy - it is repositionable, doesn't gum up the needle, yet holds really well. so much cheaper on amazon it is normally about 13.00 in a quilt shop. for machine quilting you can just use this, or use minimal pinning - for hand quilting I would still pin but you can get away with far fewer pins/basting.

This is the only fabric adhesive I will use for quilting. I had used it before but when that one ran out I thought I'd save money by buying a cheaper one. Big mistake! It left a stain that wouldn't wash out and I ended up having to deconstruct and reconstuct part of my quilt. So I sent for some 505 again which, although a bit more expensive, doesn't stain, is easy to use and holds everything in place as it should, while still being easy to lift and reposition the material. It really does do what it says on the can.

I usually use this to adhere my stabilizer onto fabric whilst doing machine embroideries. Its the best on the market. Recently I made a sampler and used this to adhere the sampler onto the card backing in the picture frame. It did an excellent job, and is a lot easier and quicker than stretching the sampler with thread onto the backing board. Brilliant stuff.

Unable to get this spray from my local shop I went on line. Despite lockdown and the post being erratic it arrived 2 days later. Thank you for wonderful service.I have made 3 Linus quilts and use this spray to sandwich the layers together. Very good spray.Use sparingly you do not to put lots on.
